Getting Really Nervous
Hi Everyone,
My date is this Wed. It finally seems real, and I'm getting quite nervous. I've been on the liquid diet and I'm mourning the loss of food. Then I think it will just continue once I have the surgery. I know it is the right thing for me, but already I am questioning can I really DO this? Anyone feel this way?

HI Susan!
I am 10 days post surgery and I know what you mean about morning the loss of food. But don't worry it won't be forever. We will get to eat again, only smaller portions & healthier choices! I just started purees today and it feels so good to eat my food instead of sipping it! It gets better with each new day and the great thing after the surgery is that you won't feel hungry! I still have some cravings especially when I see my family pigging out on some of my favorites... but it's much easier to control when I don't have that "hungry" feeling. It's mind over matter! And the best part of all that keeps me inspired is I've already lost 17 pounds in 10 days! It's all worth it and you will be so proud of yourself when you see the weight melt off of you! Hang in there!
Cheers,
Lisa

Hi Susan,
You will be fine.....Karen had her surgery and said she would do it again every day of the week if she had to, in order to get the results she has gotten. She has had very little pain and feels wonderful and Annette told me that Doctor's want more business after us and so they won't take a chance on a risk patient and they don't want to ruin their reputation so they are going to use their skills to do their very best. You are in good hands and you will be so glad that you did it after it is over. My surgery is tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. and I am scared to death too but we will be so glad that we did this after it is all over. Hang in there and you are in my prayers.
Hugs,
Esther
