anyone have problems on pre liquids and stomach upset with nausa!

Hi all, i am into my second week of liquids and today i found my self lying in bed with so much nauseating upset stomach. i am doing everything i am suppose to do. someone mentioned that maybe i am taking in too much protein. i had already started all my vitamins and supplements to get into the habit of taking them. Oh course i also have to take my meds. and i am a diabetic. SO. PLEASE..IF ANYONE HAS SUGGESTIONS IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. my surgery date is may 9th. thanks tina

Hi Tina, I am not sure that this will help, but I have found that if my stomach is upset, then I am either taking in too much fluids or not taking them in slowly. Maybe that will help you... Congratualtions on your surgery date!! Donna Jo

Do you think the vitamins could be upsetting your stomach? My bariatric surgery handbook says not to take any multi-vitamin or mineral supplements during the liquid diet. Maybe you could call your surgeon's office and tell them what's going on and see what they say. Good luck! I noticed you are in Springfield. I lived there for 5 years from 1998 to 2003 but we missed "home" too much. (Minnesota) Michelle

Hi, michelle, thanks so much for the suggestion. It worked. I had a much better day. I also cut back on my protein intake. I am on my 5 day count down. I am really excited and very nervous at the same time. But I am ready to live life!! I know about missing home.. I have lived here since I was 4 yrs old and moved away for two yrs, and had to come back. There is no place like home... Tina

I'm glad you are doing better now. Your surgery is on my Mom's birthday. Springfield was a nice town. My friend who I grew up with still lives there actually (her and her husband moved there when he got a job there). I loved Cheddars and Golden Corral! lol They don't have those here. Michelle

hi, thanks for the info and help. i actually cut back on my protein and stoped my supplements and had a MUCH BETTER DAY!!!!!!! 5 days and counting down to the beginning of a wonerful life that i can LIVE. TINA
