Hi, everyone!

My name is Jean and my surgery is scheduled for 5/29 with Dr. Glass (RNY, laproscopic) in Sartel, Mn. It's been a long road and it still seems like forever until the 29th! I am sooo excited, it can't come too fast for me. I still have some hoops to jump, my pcp wants a pap and mam done, surgeon wants a edoscopy and pre-op exam. All are scheduled...ain't I lucky! I start the liquid protein diet on 5//15, not crazy about that but, I'm willing to do whatever!!! I am looking forward to this so much, ready to change my life!!! Jean

Thanks, Karen! I've noticed people refer to their surgery date as their "rebirthday". Sounds fitting! My actual birthday is 6/21...wonder what weight I'll be then??? Jean

Well................this how i look at it............... I know I am not gonna win any speed contests, I get slower as I get older, doing anything!! But, I will weigh less and be healthier.................and each day I am a day closer to being the woman I was meant to be on the outside...................... And I will never worry about trying to diet and not being able to.............never buy another diet book or diet pill...............and I will be thankful every day of my life that I found OH, all the beautiful people here, and have the chance to live, again!!

I know about being old...I'll be 52 this summer! How can that be? Where did time go? Well, at least I have two beautius daughters and four wonderful grandchldren...oh, yeah, and a pretty good hubby! It's going to be so great to be able to keep up with everyone when I'm thinner! Love what you said about OH, there are great people here!!! Jean

Hello, Jean! Congrats on your new life! My surgery date is also May 29th in Buffalo, NY. I am excited too, but also nervous. Fortunately I didn't have to jump through so many hoops like you have had to. Look forward to seeing less of you here in the future...gmao!!

Surgery sisters...whooo who! what's gmao? I'm a newbie! Thanks for making me feel welcome. I feel the same way but mostly excited, so far. Think the nerves will come later in the month. Jean
