OMG, OMG, OMG - it is finally hitting home!

I received two things yesterday... the "Getting ready for your upcoming surgery" email from OH (wow, I am impressed); and the letter confirming times and dates for WLS from my surgeon... I am doing most of my PATs here in Ontario via my family doctor... I go one more time to Buffalo April 30th at 3:00 for a final weigh-in and pre / post op info; surgery is 8 am May 8th - I need to be there at 5:15 am, and my first follow-up is scheduled for May 17 @ 10:30. Re PATs.. I had bloodwork and urine test last friday, ECG and chest x-ray on Saturday... today I go see my PCP for physical and surgery clearance... all the test results and today's appointment notes will get faxed to my surgeon for April 30th. WHEW - it's really happening!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS............After all the pre-op tests are faxed to the surgeon, it is pretty much official. Mine were faxed to my surgeon yesterday. All my tests were fine except my urine test which showed some bacteria so they put me on an antiobioti****il the surgery. I have my pre-op appointment with my surgeon on May 1 and then I go to admitting at the hospital on May 2. My surgery is May 7th. WOW...............How exciting for us! Who is your Doctor? Yes, it is finally getting here.... Isn't it amazing to have a follow up appointment scheduled already? I know my follow up will be May 8th, Surgery May 1st... You will do fantastic... Let us know how the surgery goes... IT HAS BEEN A LONG JOURNEY - IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END!!!!!

I don't think it's going to hit me until Saturday when I finish my last exam and I'll have nothing else to keep my mind off the surgery. All pre-op tests were done last month...my surgery is on Tuesday, have to be at the hospital for 6am, surgery will be between 7:30 and 8...and post-op check-up will be on the 14th! Hard to believe a few weeks from now we'll all be WLS experts!

Yeah, I was excited to to get the OH emails too! I have my tests tomorrow. Then I think I will be too excited to stand it........lol. Everyone say WOOOHOOOO!!!!!! ~~Betsy
