Big day - May 23, 2007!!

May 9th - Will begin 2 week pre-op diet. Have already ordered my supplements. Ordered my T-shirt that says "Fat people are harder to kidnap" Shopping list already made out. Medical leave arrangements made at work. Not afraid - excited to begin this journey!! Rachel

Wow, sounds like you are fully prepared, Rachel. I had never heard of that T-shirt before - I love it! I got one from Big Dog that says "The working out thing isn't working out". I travel a lot and I like to wear that one to the hotel gyms. I'm right behind you on the 29th. Could not get my doc to come in on Memorial Day. Go figure. Anyway, good for you. You rock! -- T.Rob

Hi Rachel! I am scheduled for the 23rd as well! I have my PATs on the 9th. I see you are in the "can't there from here" state. I grew up in Northern New York (closer to Canada than NYC) and vacationed in ME for years. Heard the coast took a battering a couple of weeks ago. Hope it will be restored for the folks who lost property. Jan K.

Hi Jan, Best of luck to you on your big day! Yes, our southern coastal area took quite the beating. Especially the Camp Ellis area near Saco. A few of the homes were swept into the ocean. That area has been teetering for some time - and it was well-known that the levy/jetty? area was not sufficient to keep the area homes safe. FEMA is here assessing the damage.
