May 7th Surgeries
I am scheduled for my surgery on May 7th. I had my pre-op tests done today and my chest Xray is Monday and then I meet with my surgeon, Dr. Krahn on May 1st, to go into detail on what he will be doing and to go over all my pre-op tests. Then on May 2nd, I go to the hospital and get pre-admitted.
After that it's the waiting game. I am soooooooooo excited but nervous. I am now on Liquid protein 2 times a day and 4 oz of meat and a green vegetable for dinner. No sodium, caffine or soda of any kind. I started taking 1000 Mg of vitamin C a day to make sure I don't get sick because I work at a school and I don't want to get the flu or a cold.
If you are as excited as I am, let's talk about the waiting game and the count down.
Smiles,
Esther
Hi Kelly,
Congratulations on your surgery date. May 17th is my birthday and I will be praying for your quick recovery. This is a great surgery and I know so many people who have had it done and are loving life. I want to be one of those people and that is why I am having this surgery. I just wi**** were over because I go though all kinds of emotional ups and downs which is normal.
The hardest part of this WLS is the liquid protein diet. It's hard because we have normal stomachs and never feel full but after the surgery it will take very little to fill us up. Take care and hang in there......it won't be long now!
Your Friend,
Esther
May 7th is the date for me too. Dr Fang in Phoenix will be the surgeon.
I have to have all the pre-op stuff to do tuesday the 23 rd. Besides that all is done. woooo hoooo!!
I am diabetic with an insulin pump so I have been seeing my endocrinologist to make sure there is a smooth transition after surgery.
I am excited!!
Good luck to all of you May 7th' ers
Hope
