Surgery date May 7 - Neep support!!!!

I got my call from Dr. Krahn's office and they scheduled my surgery date to May 7. I am excited but that's only less then a month away so I am nervous. I need all your support friends. Any advise would be most appreciated.

Hi esther, I will stand with you. My surgery date is 05/02/07. Just think we are very close to starting a new life and I love the saying from susan maria leach..." nothing taste as good as thin feels." good luck I know u will suceed!! Tina

Thanks Tina, This is so exciting for both of us. I am nervous but I know I am doing the right thing. Did you buy vitamins to have after the surgery yet? I am ordering mine today. Also, I am going to cook a lot of different meats this weekend and blend them and put them in ice cube trays and freeze them and then pop them out and put them in ziplock bags. Two little cubes will be about all we will be able to eat. I am also filling my frig with Crystal Lite, Diet Snapple and bottled water. Good luck on your surgery. What hospital are you having it done at? My surgery is at Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, Calif. Thanks for your support. It really helps. Hugs

Thanks Betsy, Where are you having your surgery done? I am excited but scared. I was so excited that the first thing I did was post it and spelled need wrong. May 7th isn't that far away. I am having my surgery at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. I don't have to do a liquid diet until the day before my surgery. I guess I am lucky on that count. It's funny, I have never been so excited to be a "Loser" before, hehe!! Good Luck, Betsy

I am excited too but still nervous. My mother was born in Rochester, NY. I have never been there but one of these days I would love to go and see where she grew up. May 7th is right around the corner. It has really helped me by talking to people about the surgery. It takes some of the jitters away and puts the excitement in place of the jitters. We will have to keep in touch during the count down to Surgery Date and our progress after. One lady called it her new birthday. It won't be long now! Talk to you soon, Esther
