Getting nervous
Hi everyone,
My RNY date is 5/11, and mostly I'm starting to get excited, but last night I was sitting on the couch with my three year old sleeping on me, and I just kept thinking what would happen to my family if I don't make it through this, and I think I must be completely out of my mind to consider it. I still want the surgery, but dang.... this isn't always that easy. My surgeon has assured me I am very low risk, and I'm trying to not concentrate (or even think much about) the risks, but I couldn't help it last night. How is everyone else dealing with jitters/nervousness??
Thanks,
Kim
You will be fine. You are young and so you have that in your favor. My daughter had the surgery done with two small children and felt the same way but she is go glad that she went through it and she is almost at her goal weight (lost 150 pounds) and looks and feels wonderful. She can do things she couldn't do before. Also when you are young your skin tightens easier then us older people.
My surgery date is May 7 and I am 59 so I am really scared but I know that this will improve my health so I am going through it.
Keep me posted on how you are doing.
