I HAVE A DATE!
So I just found out yesterday that my date for surgery has been set. I'll be having my surgery May 21st if all goes well with pre-op testing. I'm such a bundle of emotions right now, I don't even know how to describe it. Scared, excited, anxious, nervous, thrilled, everything! We'll all support each other through this journey I Hope....good luck to all of you fellow "Maysters"
HI COLLEEN,
I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. I'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE SAME EMOTINS TOO!! I FEEL LIKE I'M ON A ROLLER COASTER RIDE RIGHT NOW. MY SURGERY IS ON THE 8th OF MAY. I KNOW IT'S HARD, BUT THESE THOUGHTS HAVE BEEN HELPING ME; THE LONG HARD WAITING PROCESS IS OVER, IT'S DOWNHILL NOW, THE 21st WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, AND THEN YOU'LL BE ON THE OTHER SIDE---A HAPPIER, HEALTHIER LIFE, A NEW YOU, AND POSITIVE LIFE CHANGE!! I WISH YOU WELL, AND A HAPPY EASTER.
JOHN
Congratulations Colleen! I have my surgery two days after you. I read your blog and I understand the two months of.....nothing. I had gotten "lost" on the patient rep's voice mail. lol But, as angry as I was at her for never returning a call, I'm happy now! I'm just relieved I have a date. I'm not going through the "crazies" yet. As long as I'm home for my birthday, anything's okay with me.
Welcome to the May list!!!!!

Congratulations to you too!! Yeah, the waiting was crazy. And technically, we started this process (my husband and I are both having surgery) in September and crazy stuff happened and we esentially had to start all over again in January. What REALLY frustrated me was that within two weeks of my initial consult I had approvals from both my insurance companies (yes, I have TWO insurances which BOTH approved me!) and I still couldn't get any info about a date until last week. But here we are, we have our dates and we just need to get ready to have healther, new lives.
Good luck!
Colleen
