Hello All, My name is Chante, Im from Wentzville, MO. Im 33 yrs old 2.5 children ( step daughter -14) (Son- 9) (Daughter- 2). My RNY surgery is scheduled for May 9 with Dr. Roger De La Torre. I don't have doc orders to start protein or go on a diet but I thought it would be better for me to start getting into the habit before surgery. I stopped soda and simple sugars. Now Im starting to incorporate protein into my diet. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Erin & everyone else! My name is Elena, I'm 35 yrs old, single, no kids. (Yet)! I'm from Florida (near Tampa) and moved to Nashville TN last July. It's difficulty being here by myself (I do have a cat though), but my parents are going to be here when I have my RNY surgery. Hi everyone! I'm Cyndi and live in beautiful South Jersey. I'm a stay-home, work-at-home mommy to one. She was enough so I didn't have more. I finally got my date and my RNY is scheduled for May 23rd. I'll turn 42 on May 29th so it's kind of an early birthday present. Now that I have my date I have to start planning my WLS scrapbook. My skinny mom isn't thrilled about the surgery but that's the way it goes. I can't wait!!!!! It's great *meeting* you all! * Cyndi *

Cyndi, funny you mention the scrapbooking. I've been collection bags of scrapbooking stuff to keep me busy for the month I will be off work for. I also plan on taking a picture a day for a year, big project, but I think it'll be a blast to look back on! Anywhoo, welcome and best of luck!

Hi everyone, I'm Kim. I'm married and have two daughters, 7 & 3. I am having Lap RNY with Dr. RoseMarie Jones at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in Indianapolis on 5/11/07. I'm starting to get excited and ready to be losing. Although part of me is wanting to go out and eat all the stuff I won't be able to eat post-op! I'm trying to supress that urge. LOL. Kim

Hi--I'm Mel, 51, from Ohio. Just got my surgery date (2nd one--my boss didn't like the first one) I will be having a RNY May 29 which means I WILL HAVE JUNE OFF!!
