We haven't done these in ages and it's about time we did 1. This weekend is my sons' bar mitzvah and although my goal was to be in a single digit size, i did not make it. I am proud to be in a size 10 though, i'm proud that the tailor nipped in the waist on the size 12 and said to buy the correct size next time these outfits are a lot of work....NICE 2. I'm doing well at work and I really enjoy my not so new job. I got up the courage and said no to someone and the world did NOT come crashing down, i wasn't immediately fired and i didn't take a detour straight into hell. I have to do what's right for me sometimes and not what's right for others 3. Spring is finally here and the kids wanted to go run the track, I walked next to them and actually wogged a few steps with them making fun of me the whole time. I said remember when mommy couldn't do this at all and they hushed up pretty quick. 4. After this weekend my time becomes my own and i'm so excited about that. I am going to add in a kickboxing class or three each week simply because that's what i'd enjoy doing. ANDI

Breakfast: sauteed broccoli, onions and mushrooms with hot sauce and parmesan cheese (this is my favorite as it's a freeby on weigh****chers) brunch: I didn't eat this but i should have, i planned it into my day it just didn't get consumed: 1 light english muffin (1) point, 1 laughing cow cheese (1) point and cucumbers on it (0 points) this is quite filling for only 2 points lunch: veggie burger (boca flame broiled or onion flavor are lovely plain is nasty) which is 1 point, on a light english muffin 1 point and cheese is 1 point with ketchup and pickles is a large meal for only 3 points snack time: 1 point popcorn or a 1 point weigh****chers peanut butter bliss snack bar with a cup of good hot coffee dinner: it varies, last night i made homemade bolognese and ate that with some bread but no pasta it was really really good (i took it at 8 points) snack: a serving of good and plenty which made me queasy (2 points) today i'm going to try and do better and see what happens. Hi Trish! Welcome back to the boards and don't be a stranger, we need you as much as you need us! I don't think your day is bad but i'm not sure i could eat just (3) meals a day i require smaller meals more often so i may have picked the meat out of the salad and eaten the salad later (or never i don't enjoy salads) Try to come on more often you're missed. as ridiculous as this sounds I think you need more food! Your lunch is a little shy on protein and your breakfast has barely any as well so you're denying your body what it needs to jump start your metabolism and you're setting yourself up for a very carby day. Have you ever tried a "boca burger" i was so skeptical of a veggie burger because i'm not big on that type of thing but the flame broiled or onion flavor is delicious and for like 70 calories you get 11-15 grams of protein (i can't remember exactly), i put that on a light english muffin with ketchup and pickles and i'm stuffed to the gills on that for lunch! Give it a shot if you hate the burgers crumble them up into a meat sauce and no one will know they are in there! whatever happens today i need to eat a grapefruit i'm craving that like a junkie and I don't know why. For me, fruit never came back I just dont' have a taste for it anymore and i'm fine with that but every now and again i get a true yen for something and I just have to eat it. ANDI

I don't think a few tortilla chips are the be all and end all of a diet, can you portion control those babies and make sure you account for them in your day and move on? Children are just amazing aren't they, they can lift you up to heaven or throw you straight down to hell....i like the highs and lows because I thrive on chaos but really that's just an adrenaline filled day! AM I THE ONLY WEINY LEFT WHO HASN'T TRIED ALCOHOL SINCE SURGERY? I'm a huge control freak and the idea of being plastered scares me to death. I got in all of my fluids yesterday and although i'm doing better i feel there is a large margin for doing better. I was like an eating machine when i got home yesterday and NOT in a good way either. How many 1 point weigh****cher snack cakes can you have before it's no longer a good idea? How much buttered bread dipped in homemade bolognese sauce (my favorite) can you have before it's no longer a good idea? How many good & plenty (stress food right there baby) can you have before the belly ache hits you and it's no longer a good idea? Those are the demons i wrestle on a daily basis. Hugs, ANDI

Ruth, i think your day is ok...maybe some better choices in snacks is all I could fault you for...but I won't cause I am certaintly not one that needs to point fingers....I have been away from the board for awhile and am excited that you started this thread...just what I need and I hope it does jump start this board again. Here is my day: Breakfast: 1 whole grain muffin with pb Lunch: Greek salad w/chicken and gyro meat. - No a great choice cause of the dressing but I certaintly have done a lot worse. Dinner: Planning on homemade meatballs and salad. Trying very hard not to snack and it's 3:00pm here in California and I've made it so far but I might eat some protein before my spin class tonight. Ok, so today has been bad bad bad. I have not stopped snacking aghhhhh. I was expecting a nice gentle return to work, as I left it with a clear desk and had my week all planned out. But my job doesn't work like that (does anyones??) so today was frantic and I got nothing done that I'd planned to do. Anyway, no excuses, and to be honest that isn't why I snacked. I have no idea, I just kept eating, wasn't hungry either. So here goes... Breakfast - 1 cup (1/2 portion) special k sustain with 2% milk Snacks throughout the day - 1 cup special k sustain (other half of portion) - planned snack! 2 cookies 1 packet chips handful of grapes - my planned snack! Lunch - 1 slice yummy sead bread handful of baby salad leaves with dressing 1oz mozzarella cheese cucumber spring onions Dinner - Chicken breast stuffed with leeks and bacon Mashed potato Sauce OK, so now I've put it down it doesn't look as bad as I thought. Anyone have any thoughts on my day today?
