You need to add more protein to your diet to get rid of the ***** acid but i can't remember what kind of acid it is that builds in your muscles when you exercise (i'm going to say lactic but i could be wrong). Muscle tears in increments so it can get bigger (tear is probably not right it splits and that's where the pain comes from) which exercise will do so keep eating high protein meals....maybe a protein shake after you are done exercising or at least some turkey or cheese sticks. Saturday and I'm still aching and feeling muscles that I never knew I had!! I'm going to go and do some time on the treadmill tonight for some cardio and see if I can iron out the wrinkles I 'm feeling. My body just wants to stay in bed and not move but that's not going to help me. Deanna, how long after a workout do you rest before working out again? I'm hoping that it will get better each week...

I have heard that you need to be really careful because it can swell in our pouches. I would imagine though, that with a well established pouch that you would be able to gauge how much to take given that it will expand. Perhaps try half a dose? Holly

It is nice to not be the biggest in the room. It is sure a new experience for me as well. I am also 6' tall so I have always been the tallest if not the fattest also. Good for you for feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Are you starting to notice your clothes fitting differently? You may actually gain weight while you gain muscle as it is heavier than fat, but you actually trim down regardless. I love this feeling... I too am proud of you! And you should be so awesomely proud of yourself, it is the first steps that are the hardest and the least likely to happen when we are feeling out of shape. I figure in another month I will be able to hop on this bandwagon also... so look out ! Holly

Hi Trish I haven't heard or read anything regarding this - maybe if you are still in touch with your surgeons office it might be worth giving them a call. Let us know if you hear anything more about it. What is your colon cleanse consisting of?

I hadn't thought of that Deanna, thanks. I'll have to reach for something to feed my body rather than the junk I've been filling my mouth with. Somthing packed full of nutrients and not empty calories - they are just so much easier to reach for though aren't they *sigh* Hopefully my body is busy building muscle too right now... Glad I'm not the only one who does this.
