WOW this scares me in a deeply primal way! If this should ever happen again will you promise me you'll go with the paramedics, you can tell them no lights/sirens if it's not an emergency. I don't drink so I can't say if it was the alcohol or not, i know margaritas have a ton of sugar in them so they are a bad choice for us.
Go with G(D and go check this out. ANDI

I am trying to take it easy, yesterday, I detailed the car (completely stripped it out, vacuuming every square cm, including the trunk, and under the seats, removed the back seat completely and vacuumed under that too. I went to a friends house to get my formal dress back, waited for an hour, she stool me up, fine, went to the bank, got some cash, met my adult daughters at Old Town Spring for the Crawfish festival... lots of walking, talking, eating, drinking, and having a lot of fun. we left at midnight.
this morning, I got up at 8 am, cleaned the kitchen, made a homemade loaf of banana / coconut bread, a pot of coffee, cleaned up the house a bit, went to Home depot and shopped for a new dishwasher, bought lumber for part of the fence that is falling down... 20 pickets, four 2x4's and some screws to re-attach the swing to the back portcullis. unloaded that in the driveway to season and acclimate before installing tomorrow. set out the saw, the drill, and the nails as well as 4x4 block so that we are ready for project day tomorrow.
then I loaded the kids in the car and we drove 40 miles to the other side of Houston for the Cub Scout Fair... WOW!! I would hazard to guess that there were 300+ booths and about 100 cubbies per booth... so ABOUT 30,000 CUBBIES it was huge!!!
my boys earned a badge and a beltloop as well as a patch while there were there and we got some exceptional ideas for den activities this next year. hobo stoves and raingutter barbque's with canned biscuits on a skewer...
on the drive home, we did some shopping and had dinner. we took all our new patches and added them to our scrapbook packets (we are still collecting pictures, patches, and stuff to finally do our scrapbooks next month) and then dinner, and finally bed.
I am whipped out and think I will crash shortly. tomorrow we replace the fence. yeah.

I am surprised that the paramedics didn't automatically take you in. Glad you are getting checked out though. Don't settle until you get some answers (and treatment if needed...)
hugs

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for your reply.. No the paramedics didn't really do much.. they took my blood pressure and heart rate and then asked me if I thought I needed to go to the hospital.. I said.. "not really".. so they let me go.. but when I talked to the on-call doctor this morning - they said anyone that has anything resembling a seizure for the first time should go to the hosp. and get an eeg and a neurological exam.. so I guess I'll be going in Monday to do that..

Hi Heather
Oh my goodness, you poor thing. What a frightening experience. I haven't had anything like that happen. Did the paramedics take your blood sugar levels, or do any other tests? Were you admitted to hospital?
I hope you get some answers on Monday - please let us know how you get on.
hugs, Ruth

Have you posted pics of your new figure yet? My, you must be looking stunning now. Was it very painful having breast and arms done at the same time? Are you pleased with the results? Are you fully recovered now?
Do you mind me asking how much you paid for surgeries? If I want to have anything done I'm probably going to have to self pay and am thinking of coming over to the States for it at some point.

Topic: dumping or seizure???
I had my Gastric Bypass surgery 2 years ago, and have been doing well.. I've had a few occasions of dumping syndrome, and a couple cases of food that got stuck.. but nothing major. Usually if I have too much sugar, I get a little jittery and sometimes mild heart palpatations..
Last night however - I went out to dinner with some girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We went to a mexican restaurant and I had tortilla chips, and chicken fajitas and maybe a 1/3 of a margarita.. All of which I have had SEVERAL times before, without any reactions.
Well - after we were done eating, and we had sat there talking awhile, I started feeling hot.. I got up to go outside, and then started getting the feeling of everything starting to get black - where you know you need to sit back down.. so I sat back down.. and then next thing I know I'm waking up with 15 people staring at me and an ambulance waiting for me.
Evidently when I sat back down in the booth, I started sweating profusely, my head rolled back against the booth, my eyes rolled back in my head, and I started breathing very strangely and loudly.. (according to my friends).. Not sure how long it lasted, but it was long enough for them to call 911 and an ambulance to show up. After I woke up i felt better within 10 minutes or so.. just a little tired..
So I'm trying to figure out if this was related to the gastric bypass surgery and something I ate - or if it was a seizure (never had one before).. I never got a stomach ache, and never had to go to the bathroom - which is what normally happens if I dump.. so I'm a little confused..
I have an appt with my doctor on Monday - but just curious if anyone has experienced anything like this before.
Thanks! Heather

Hi Ruth that sounds great!
yes, I have closed my store ( I have been working out of another smaller one, but am moving out of that one this week) and am moving between May and June... We have so much to do, I'm not sure when I will open another one yet?
I just had my arms and breasts done 5 weeks ago and love it! next year my legs are getting done... and I have to say I lost so slowly in the beginning, I now am about 116lbs I can not explain it, they did not take that much skin off my arms.. I eat pretty much what I want now just not to drop anymore? sometimes I think this surgery has no rhyme or reason...
