greetings from my hidey hole! I'm not sure what's going on with me but i hear junk food calling and some days i answer it. I have to start sipping on a more regular basis. On a good note i have been taking my vitamins on a regular basis and thats' pretty cool. If i don't shut my pie hole soon i won't fit into any of the pretty stuff i bought to wear to this weekends huge shindigs. ANDI

Topic: How are we doing?
It's all gone quiet, so I am presuming it's because we are all busy with our new schedules of losing weight!!! (rather than hiding as we aren't doing too good I decided that instead of my usual reaction to when I gain weight (eat more and say what the heck) I would fight it, and put on my boxing gloves (well not really, but you know what I mean). So I've been working my butt off at the gym, and each night I do stomach exercises, and have been eating more, but also eating more regularly. I do not let myself go more than 5 hours without eating, wheras before I would quite happily not eat all day then eat in the evening. Even though it was a small amount and I would have protein shakes during the day instead of food, I think this was my downfall. My body feels much better on this and I'll see on Friday if the scales like it too. I have to say that when I got on them this morning I had lost 5 pounds since my recent highest!!! Woohoo, but I'm still going to work my butt off to get back to at least wher I was and then some. So I'd love to hear how you guys are doing..................

Yep, our bodies suck! They inhale the bad stuff and just will not let go of it without a fight grrrrr........... I'm trying to eat more regularly this week. I tended to just have protein shakes and not eat anything all day then eat once I got home from work. So now it's proper meals throughout the day, with protein snacks if needed once inbetween meals. I'm also guzzling water each time I want to put something in my mouth. I'm in and out of the bathroom like a ping pong - my co-workers are going to start wondering what I'm doing in there soon!!!!! As long as we keep hanging around here, we'll get there in the end - we keep each other accountable and give each other the incentive to keep going.... What would I do without you guys.....

I am gonna keep trying to do the lean meats/cheese/low carb thing...pretty much the South Beach way of eating and see how that goes... Did fairly well last week and lost a few lbs BUT...over the weekend I ate "normally" whi*****luded pasta (yum) & cookies (yummy!) and it all came back and more...funny how my body just holds onto the the bad stuff. Wish there was a magic formula but I think our bodies just suck!

I speak to so many people who have these issues at or around 2 years out so I am taking an unscientific poll. This is not meant to upset anyone and I am not by any means a band basher, I LOVE my band, I am just starting to see a pattern and I wonder.....

Topic: RE: Zumba - In Love With A New Exercise
Anytime i can dance, intensely, without the kids or the hubby interrupting, to me that's sheer heaven and that's what Zumba gives me! If you see a Zumba class take it and you won't be sorry, as long as you like to dance and sweat because that's really what it's about! I don't mind exercising i just don't enjoy the gym and the people there. I want to do something that makes me h appy not miserable. ANDI
