Andi I've come to know that food will always be a battle for me too, but like you, one I'm willing to continue to battle against and not let win. I just enjoy food too much - not only teh taste but smell, sight, texture, etc etc etc. Oh my - I even love food porn (recipes and pictures) how sad is that?

Yes, things do change with time don't they. I wanted to be 135lbs when I first started out. Now I'd settle for 154lbs. But hey, 70% is still regarded as a success.

You know what, I really do think if you push through it it gets easier. That's what's happened yesterday and today. Today I thought I'd need to stop after running 3 minutes, but I strong willed myself through it and then it did get easier. Weird huh? Now I've just got to convince myself to push through and complete the second mile... You go girl with that zumba - who cares if it's not correct - as long as you dont' injure yourself and enjoy it. Get that heart into the weight losing zone...

hmmmm i didn't realize that the first mile is the hardest, i usually poop out and don't push myself but i'm wondering if i'm selling me short by not pushing through it. HMMMM you may have just opened up a new option for me. this summer i'm taking ZUMBA (you have to google it, i'm in love) and it's the toughest thing and I don't do it all correctly but i love it something fierce and it makes my heart race like a thoroughbred. i've lost about 70% of my excess baggage. I think that because of my slower weight loss and my not reaching goal i didn't have much bounce back (about 4-5lbs) which i think is pretty cool. I'd like to be closer to my goal of course but everything with changes and time. ANDI

(((((((((((ruthy))))))))))) it's YOU who rocks. This has been the most wonderful journey and I'm so glad I met you on it! I am starting Zumba lessens for real in about (4) weeks, that amazes me who'd have thought i'd actually do that? I think food is still a battle for me but it's one i'll willingly wage as it's a battle for my life and I'm worth it and so is everyone on this board. ANDI

Topic: RE: Anybody Cold?
for me it's all about fluids. I try and get most of my fluids ingested by noon so i have the whole afternoon to piddle. The more i drink the colder I get. The human body can't digest something too cold so it has to warm it to acceptable temps (98.6 but don't quote me) and that revs up your metabolism....as much as a snails metabolism can rev up and that makes me freezing cold but i'm still working it for weight loss I hope.
