Topic: day one of BACK ON TRACK
So my slovenly lazy habits have gotten me into some trouble. I've gained enough weight where i don't feel comfy anymore and this 10 pounds is uncomfortable. I joined weigh****chers for 17 weeks yesterday so that will take me into september! If i even lose 1/2 pound a week that will take me back down to where i'm comfy and can have plastics in the fall!
Today i'm looking into the local gym, that seems to be the key for me and I haven't been doing that and it shows. I miss the gym and I miss how i felt when i belonged to a gym. I wish they were less expensive but then i wish most things in my life were less expensive!
Anyone want to join me in healthier eating and living? I hate being by myself but the time for me is NOW. I've got a wedding next week and I need to fit into a pretty dress because these friends have not seem me in 2-7 years and I want to WOW them with the new me. Wait until they find out i can't drink, that shoud go over like a lead balloon but it is what it is. ANDI

FARINA.. what is up with that? it SHOULD be healthy but it messes with me every time.
today I did scale back a bit, opted for no coffee and for egg and biscuit for breakfast.
no ice cream with the kids after swim practice.
fried egg on whole wheat bread instead
a single soft shell taco for dinner with chicken, onions, sour cream and cheese.
doing my best to get down four water bottles today.
I may have to add in some laxative since I am simply not MOVING like I should. a little MOM should do the trick, you would think, but once a day has not had an impact as of yet.
I did pedal 5 miles today but not at any speed that would accomplish anything noteworthy. it was 101 degrees and I was melting.

there are a few foods that just do me wrong: rice, farina, any and all fruit, there are a few others but i can't think of them now! I can eat candy with no problem, ice cream gives me a challenge, buttered movie theater popcorn runs through me like it had track shoes on (somes days that's the only exercise i get!) BUT all that stops tomorrow i'm going to make a concerted effort to really improve my eating and stop taking it out on me! ANDI

it started out innocently enough with the soft dinner mints... then it sneaked over into the donuts... and quite frankly, it is hard to say where it will end. it just frustrates me to no end that I can eat oatmeal and dump, but I eat donuts and am fine.
I can eat corn and puke, but I can happily snack on candy and be fine.
Coffee is toxic waste and I dump like there is no tomorrow, and orange juice is not even a problem.
grrrr grrr

yes you're right as puppies they are adorable, as full grown dogs not so much! It was cute in the beginning but now that this has become my new reality it's not so much fun anymore and i don't like it and i'm not used to having issues so this is not pretty. ANDI

If money doesn't allow for you to join a gym look for other options, sometimes gyms will offer you free weeks or what not to try them out. The high school in our town has open swim night, where people can swim for $2 for the whole night, what about walking, roller blading, dancing to your favorite songs, hula hooping, cleaning the house, find an inexpensive dance class, go to the Y and see if you can get a cheap rate. There are t hings you can do you just need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a move on!
You need a dietician to tell you what you are supposed to be eating...protein protein protein followed by fresh fruits and veggies, lay off the processed foods and the fast food and the stuff that tastes delicious that we were addicted to prior to surgery (refined sugar, white rice, all the simple carbs that we adore) . There has to be things you can buy on the cheap, they have sales on beans and chicken and ground beef/chicken/turkey you've got to make do with what you can afford.
The inspiration you require is within you and you have to bring it out. We're here struggling right along with you, you're so not alone in this. Tomorrow is my day to start on my healthier eating regime, iv'e got my vitamins in baggies so i can grab them and go, i've filled up my water bottles and I'm ready to write down everything i'm eating! I'm going to go to the gym and i'm going to sweat it out. I will be a success and I will do well and i will feel good about myself. What are you going to do to make y our success happen? ANDI
