Aloha!
I always crave rare steak!  Sashimi is fantastic and you can even chop up the cabbage fine and its sooo good!  Love to get subway wrap of turkey and cheeze and can eat about 1/4 at a time.
Frozen grapes rock!  still have more issues with chicken, but can handle por easily in small amounts and the steak is no problemo
love fish, eat crab leg (ok 1/2 of a leg), shrimp is awesome with coctail sauce or garlic and tiny bit of butter.
making me hungry..I am sick of food and its all I think about all day!  Maybe try the new Vivanno at starbucks for a meal replacement..low sugar, low carbs, protien packed and 5 g of fiber too tasty too
Hope it helps!!

Topic: How do you feed yourself? X post from grads board.
I found this inspirational so thought I would share it with you (with Cathy's permission of course): I spent a quality day kicking back with my family. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed being together. My heart was truly very full. So, that got me to thinking about how I need to continue that feeling each day. At first, the question of "How do you feed yourself?" may seem like a silly question. As post-ops, we think in terms of grams of protein, carbs, and fat. As a weight loss surgery patient, of course it is important to pay attention to our nutritional needs. I certainly don't mean to discount that importance. When we get beyond the food, what I mean by the question is how do you feed or nurture yourself? We feed our bodies but what about our heart and self-care. There are many ways to nurture ourselves. We wouldn't go for an entire day without taking in nutrition for your body. Never go an entire day without nurturing yourself. Make a commitment to yourself that every day you will do something special and nurturing. Feed yourself in body, heart and spirit. I think being a post-op success is about healthy habits including feeding ourselves in ALL ways. I try sips of diet pepsi/coke every so often, but just can't stand the taste anymore. Before wls I was so addicted to it - I dread to think how much of it I drank!!! But no more, the taste (thank goodness) just stays yucky to me. ...Now if only other food could do that, like candy, chips, etc etc hehe you know what I mean??? Hey, good for you getting your man active. Wasn't so long ago that he wasn't too keen I seem to remember. I think it's great when you can do things together and the fact that they are good for you too is even better

I've been bitten by the munchies too! Truth be told, I just hate a 4-pack of Nutter Butter cookies!!!!! UGH!!! However, the good thing is that I already went to the gym and did a kick-boxing class. Then my husband and I go back tonight for upper body weight training. So, that is a good thing. But, the leftover slice of pizza for lunch and can of diet pepsi (did I just admit to that?!) probably wasn't the best lunch ever!!! Is anyone else admitting to consuming soda again??? I never was much of a soda fan before surgery but lately I find myself wanting one. Deanna

So, it sounds like we are all needing a bit of encouragement, so I'm asking you this question. I'm not a great one for logging and monitoring everything I eat, but I do generally know if I've done ok and am pleased with my day or if I could have done better. This may help us to sort ourselves out again if you want to join in --- so for me, I was back at work, which in one way helps as I eat less than when I am at home, had salad for lunch with an egg and small amount cheese, with chips (!!!!) and I had several cookies, grrrr, but as I sit at my desk most of the day I am less active. Swings and roundabouts. Hmm, guess I'm fairly pleased with today as better than I have been doing. Now I just need to avoid the evening munchies.....

HI! My name is Andi and i'm a human piglet! I have been feasting today and i was doing so well last week on the low carb progam. I'll get myself back on it because i dont' feel so well today but BOY did i eat anything not nailed down today. You name it and i've consumed it and not in a good way. I did join a gym but i haven't gone yet, I'm going to try and go on Monday or Tuesday depending on the scheduling! The kids come home tomorrow so that will mean i'll be more active. ANDI

what's up with the portion part that is a bit frightening to me? I am right there with you Dee the thought of warm squishy cookieness just about gives me girly chills. I did get very ill on cracker jack at the Yankee game last night...guess who puked in the parking lot with the other drunkards? I did add the cracker jacks on top of like 10-12 ketchup covered french fries. Suffice it to say that it was a LONG ride home last night. I'm sure my husband was furious pulling over onto the major highway every few miles but it was better then getting sick in the car. ANDI
