Hi Andi, Guess I can say I'm not doing awhole LOT of anything for exercising.... So when I heard how they do it there...thought maybe it would be a start! (should've started along time ago)!! I knew that gyms would be way too much money and I've just been doing some exercising on my own...But need to try harder. But thanks,I did think about just a month of free trial of something in that line..don't want to sign some big contract or anything!

Did you try and up your calories a bit and see if you're body is in starvation mode and holding on to the weight? You can't rush the process, it's not a race but a journey. If you stress out about it, are you really enjoying your journey and do you think it'll help you get there any quicker? Hugs, ANDI ps. NY misses you, come on back! pps. no deal on the genetics, override it and show your body who's boss

I guess my question to you is what are you doing now for exercise? If the answer is Nothing, then Curves is a fine place to start, something always beats nothing! I would not sign on for a whole year, go for a smaller period of time and evaluate how you feel after that! Joining a gym can be expensive and overwhelming and then you have to add the personal training sessions (extremely expensive at my gym) for even more money, at what cost is it too prohibitive? Good Luck, Andi

(((((((((((((((((((((Jenia))))))))))))))))))))) Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I wish I had a quick easy answer to put everything right for you and wave a magic wand to get rid of your excess weight just like that But both you and I know it doesn't work like that I think I can understand how you are feeling and sympathise totally with you. DId your doc give you any advice? On a personal note, I find staying on this board keeps me on track. During the times when I'm not losing reading and posting on here keeps me thinking in the right direction, and stops me from giving up. Do you think your body has got into a routine and needs shaking up a little? DO you vary your exercise routines? Maybe have a vacation from exercise and calorie counting for a few weeks - and then getback to it with a new energy? Cheer up - you have done a fantastic job so far and the journey is not over yet

Ruth, Thanks! My husband will be out 4 years in October and has not gained any weight. He still has his ulcer and still is smoking! Makes me so mad !!! But I still love him!!!!He weighed in close too 400 pounds when he had it and is staying around 190-200 pounds ! He is doing good. My sister-in-law has been out about 7 years and weighed in the same and is down to 198.. My brother has gained 10 pounds of his weight back, but is off his insulin shots anyway! Thanks for asking!!

Missy, Thank you! Happy belated to you, too! Yea, 39 years is a long time to be married to the same person!!! Especially now a days!!! I guess it kinda runs in the family--his parents were married 65 years, his brother has been 42 years already... Thanks for the info on the curves, thought it sounded good. Maybe I can just have a trial period and not have to sign a contract or anything!
