do you realize that these parents are not going to know you as the fat mom they are going to see you as the perfectly normal mommy that you are. There will be no stigmas attached to you in this new school, it's a fabulous opportunity for you to get to know people and for them to get to know you on a more equal footing. New Year is bringing changes for us. My daughter is going to a new school so I've got the getting to know new parents thing. I think I'm more apprehensive than my daughter is! She's really looking forward to it while it is going to be out of my comfort zone. I am hoping that at some point in the new year plastic surgery will come my way, but this may just be in my dreams... I hope that it will bring more happiness & peace in our family. I hope that it will bring more weight loss once I get back to focussing on losing again

I would like to have someone to blame for my eating habits. I sure don't want to be responsible for my weight 'challenges'. In my head some where I know that I make choices but I don't always deal from that deck unfortunately. I see many of the foster kids I have eating their emotions. I have noticed with a good majority of them that they are trying to fill their empty places inside them with food. I think that there may be a part of me that is doing that also, I doubt that anyone, even those of us with perfectly good childhoods get out without some kind of emotional stuff. I have been looking for a counselor in order to process this but have not been able to find someone that I like (so far) I had hypnosis earlier on to help me to see that I had lost weight, because I only saw my fat self even after the 100 lbs was gone. That helped but I think that this is a huge process and I guess it will keep on keeping on... Ruth, you are on the right path. You will be a success 10 years from now because you are doing the work now! Holly

Ruth, What is amazing is that when you look at all our pictures, yours included, you would never know that anyone of us was ever "fat." We are all butterflies now. When the folks see you in Dallas they will all be amazed by the transformation and that you are drop dead gorgeous!! I do hope we can meet while you are here. Diane
