Happy New Year
I am on my way to Home Depot to start repairing the house
the next month should be INTERESTING
Topic: RE: DUMPING and FREEZING
well I am glad that I still dump, that keeps me in check. I just hate the freezing part, but now I am starting to figure out that it is low blood sugar that is causing it, I can fix it.
as for the 'gain' heehee I still get the giggles, I am dressed in so many layers now that I look like I did before surgery.
my family disagrees, but I think that they lie

I am so sorry to hear about your laptop. That is aweful. I hope you had a good vacation and enjoyed the time spent in the states. I hope your new year brings great things and a wonderful new year.

Ruth,
The voice of reason! You are correct. The weight gain pre-wls would have been at least double and I wouldn't have been able to get it off. Lots of things have changed since then. It is funny (not really) how are brains are wired. It is the holiday season and holiday season means goodies. And now my jeans are cutting off my circulation
But yes, it could be worse, so I will
in my tight jeans and rejoice!

Heck Sweetie i'm not even sure this fat tushy of mine will fit into the saddle, but BOY did i have some fun and eat some delicious things. Today starts day one of "a body in recovery" for me so i'm right where you are, don't feel alone...email me if you need someone to whine and kvetch at i'll be doing the same! It's so hard to get back in the saddle again when this week is chock full of parties and get togethers and stuff! Hugs, ANDI

Holly, G*D be with you through this surgery and through the recovery! I don't believe it's going to be as bad as you think it is. Because you are younger then the usual knee replacement candidate I think you'll have an easier time and also because you're no longer the Incredible Bulk that you were it'll be easier to get to the knee and do what they have to do. I hope you'll have someone keep us posted on your recovery or at least come on here once and tell us that you are ok, we'll keep praying for you no matter what though. Holly, may your surgery and recovery be quick, uneventful and a bit boring! Will you email me your address so I can send you stuff that might make you laugh? ANDI

Now come on girls...
I'm going to be the straight talker here - don't be so hard on yourselves! This is a life thing, it was Christmas/holidays. How much would you have gained before wls? I bet if you'd only gained what you did this year you would have been celebrating right now.
Put this all into perspective. You now have the knowledge and the ability to work and get off that which you've gained.
So put it behind you, draw a line under it and if the line gets erased a bit at times, just re-draw it the next day.
PS I'll be joining you in the back to eating right and making wise choices as I too did exactly as you all did. I'm no saint here either!!!
