Yay, it's the weekend. So what are you doing?
I am going with my daughter to visit with two of my sisters and their children for a late Christmas get together tomorrow, then house cleaning / sorting on Sunday as we are having a friend to stay next week. Plus trying to get some rest in the middle of all that!
Enjoy your time everyone.

OK peeps, how are we all? Are we winning against the carb monster?
I have finally found a breakfast cereal that I don't dump on - fruit & fibre which is good as it seems to fill me and not give me carb cravings. I had 2 shortbread cookies and 5 bite size chocolate candies again, but dinner was chicken & veg. Didn't actually want to eat it all but knew I needed the protein.
So I'm pleased with today. It will be better once all the holiday food is gone.

Yesterday was a step in the positive direction. I ate more carbs (pasta and bread) than I had wanted to, but managed to avoid candy and pastries. I did better on my water. Today will focus on more water and less carbs. I'm going to bring a few frozen dinners (leftovers from Christmas) to work today to avoid the cafeteria.
Happy Friday!

What if you put ankle weights on your feet and keep lifting them, this will work your legs, your belly and perhaps your back side and if you're wearing pants no one has to know. There have to be chair exercises that you could do! Hugs, ANDI

I think my problem is my choice of food now rather than the quantity. So I eat candy and carbs instead of protein. That's what I need to work on and then I might start losing again. I'm not sure that my calories are high, just empty. You just have to be so organised and think ahead for protein dont you. Carbs are much more easily accessible, sigh...
Mindyou, now my backside is in an office chair all day, that might be a different matter rather than walking around the stores during the holidays! It's amazing how those steps add up isn't it.

did well yesterday but was an emotional basket case. I wanted carbs and I wanted them badly! I did well withstanding all the treats at my meeting but once I got home I found it more difficult. I need to go out and get some frozen ice pops...those saved me in the beginning and I think they might be able to save me again. Day 2 will be better. I've already got 20 ounces of fluids in and it's only 4:40am! My challenge is that i'm up at the butt crack of dawn so do i start eating 30 minutes after I get up which means i'll be having QUITE a few meals during the day and the calories add up. These and more intriguing thoughts as we go! Hugs, ANDI

sign me up.... ;)
today I finished my animal crackers... they are all gone and I am not gonna buy no more. ;) (famous last words)
I did okay for breakfast, egg
lunch, protein bar
snack, tangerine
dinner, cream of wheat
tummy ache
snack, cheese slices
snack, potato chips
snack, a few spaghetti noodles
snack, almond rocha
snack, slice of homemade bread with 1 oz of cream cheese
but somewhere about 6 pm I got the worse twisted gut ache, I do not know if it was the tea that ripped me a new one or what, but wow, I thought I was going to have to go to the ER it hurt so bad. still pretty tender right now, but tolerable.
but I am sticking to it, I will get back on track and drop the extra 5 that I gained during Christmas with all my decadent choices. althought I can not promise anything on Sunday, we are having Christmas Dinner 2.0 for my daughter's family.

How did the day go for you all?
Mine wasn't too bad - had 3 shortbread cookies, and about 5 chocolate bite size candies, but other than that ok! Trust me, this is being saintly compared to over the holidays
Need to start getting more protein in though - water intake fine, think my calories may be low for today
Remember, 'progress NOT perfection'
