ahhh man i have missed these! It's always ok with me if anyone wants to do these! 1. This week I am going to stick with my healthy eating plan, set up for me by my doctor 2. this week i'm going to order everything i need to get my sons bar mitzvah rocking and rolling 3. I am going to buy my size clothing and not buy bigger and ask my tailor to take it in because im afraid to buy the real size and I need pants i'm freezing ANDI

Grilled Monday: onions, bell peppers in one pan broccoli and carrots in the steamer corn and peas in second pan chicken with seasoning salt in caste iron heat and serve with Contadina Sweet & Sour Sauce Taco Tuesday: I lay a flour tortilla on the saucer, smeared sour cream over it, laid a leaf of romaine lettuce, would have sliced up some avocado if I had it, sprinkle some picante sauce, caramelized onions and bell peppers, some grilled chicken or hamburger, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, roll tightly .. oh baby Wednesday: spaghetti... same marinara sauce as Sunday Pizza over whole wheat spaghetti Soup and Sandwich Thursday grilled cheese on whole wheat and hard boiled egg sliced and served in the middle of a bowl of Amy's chunky tomato bisque Fish Friday: I go to the local fish monger. he gets the freshest freshest fish flown in... it is amazing. currently we are on the 'Kona Kampachi' Kick. this stuff has the texture of chicken, you can not over cook it and you can not under cook it. it is AMAZING. I sprinkle with lemon pepper, italian seasoning and cook on the stovetop in caste iron for 30 minutes (1 lb filet) with out any oil, served with steamed broccoli and baby carrots. French Crepes Saturday: Every Saturday we make up these little darlings, I sliced up a banana in mine, roll, slice and devour. 3 eggs 2 cups of milk 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cardamon 1 cup of flour Pizza Sunday: we make a pizza dough with arrowhead mills unbleached white flour water, honey, yeast, oil. toppings are homemade marinara, (1 can diced tomato, 1 can tomato sauce, 1/2 can sliced black olives, Italian seasoning. on the pie, we put mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, pineapple and shredded Italian four cheese blend. bake and slice into 8 slices, I get one. my dh gets 3, erik 2, and magnus 2 sadly, this is truly how structured our dinners are, EVERY SINGLE WEEK since 1999. they rarely deviate. every 6 weeks we might eat out at a salad bar by the mall. occasionally I will go out of town and eat at an olive garden, or meet clients at a steak house. but for the most part, we buy the exact same ingredients every week in the exact same quantities and we do not deviate. my dh does 90% of the cooking and this is what he knows, this is what he does, and this is what makes him happy. he cooks, I do not complain. ;)

24 hour diet recall: this morning: Oatmeal (1 packet plain, 1 packet maple syrup and brown sugar, cooked and split in half with 6 year old son) 6 after dinner mints last night: two p'butter chocolate chip cookies dinner: 1 soft flour tortilla 1 leaf of romaine lettuce 1 tsp sour cream 1 table spoon hamburger 1 table spoon grilled onions/bell peppers snack: 1/2 banana snack: 3 heaping tablespoons potato salad made from potatoes mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, sugar, paparika lunch: 2 oz baked spiral cut ham snack: 1 hard boiled egg buttload of mints throughout the day

You're not alone! I have lost all my weight and then some, I stay about 120 to 122 give or take a day... I don't have a monthly cycle to blame, but I get tired some days and always see a fat girl... the fear of being fat is terrifying... I have to fight every day to eat right, I don't always win that fight .... and I have literally NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! boobs left, just empty containers were they once were.... so empty that I have trouble finding a bra that will work..

You just truly hit on the problem....being good to myself! Once again, I'm coming in dead last. I am planning this bar mitzvah, which is going beautifully but there are a ton of details AND i get to do it all again next year (YAY ME). I am fighting with the insurance company as they won't pay for my sons meds and he needs them desperately. I am a true medical advocate and I have no idea what I'm doing. I got a number for o.e.m. up in Washington DC no one knows who my counselor is so what i've done is just started dialing numbers and leaving messages, it hasn't worked yet but i've only left 19 messages, someone out there WILL be the one to help me, I hope i find them before the deadline runs out. On top of that my husbands mother is on what I call "death'watch '08" the chemo isn't working but they are still giving it to her with the hopes that she can fight on and see the kids bar mitzvah! We've got a niece or nephew arriving on 1/28 and although that's a joyous occasssion it's also really stressful as they are orthodox jews so they'd need either a bris or a naming, another day lost of work and shoot me now! I just needed to vent I actually feel a bit better now that i've said that. Oh and if that wasn't enough, I am applying for a loan against my 403B account (keep in mind it's MY money) and everyone goes you have the money in 3-5 business days, dude i'm on week 2 without a check and they keep needing to verify the same stuff, I have even overnighted it and they keep saying you don't have the right paperwork...well for cripes sake I call everyday who's fault is it now? Well Kat, you are obviously doing ok on it, so I'm not going to knock it! I may just try and follow your example and maybe I'll get my body moving downwards again! At this point I'll try anything, as I haven't changed what I do but my body isn't responding like it used to (albeit slowly!). Thanks, Ruth

I am still paranoid about stretching my pouch, so I keep it small and light. I eat two lunches.. about 3 hours apart, so yes, one egg or one cheese stick, both by the end of the day. I eat just under 1K calories a day. Monday: 9 am 1/2 cup cream of wheat 1 oz (1/2 slice) spiral ham 1/2 pot of coffee 12 pm 1 hard boiled egg 4 vitamins 3 pm 1 cheese stick 1 bottle of propel 6 pm 3 oz bison steak with grilled onions 9 pm 2 tablespoon peas 7 oz milk 12 am 1/2 cup bread pudding 2 Tb homemade ice cream 7 oz water some days I am not too good on head hunger, and I will nibble on werther's orginal coffee flavored drops

Exactly Andi.. get up.. make your own happiness, run up some dumb old stairs.. turn on the radio or some exercise show and shake your booty and take a second just to smile. I know winter in NY can be tough, it has to be with all that cold and snow making getting about hard to do. the days are shorter, the world is quieter, and the big push from the holidays has ended leaving that feeling of a void. I know you have that kind of get off your butt attitude and make life work for you. Close your eyes.. dig down and find that Andi we all know and love and plow her out from under all that snow and just be you girl.. you know you rock and you are the captain of your own ship. Carla thank you so much for your beautiful words, they touched my heart. Lately, I'm feeling a bit disconnected because i'm not at goal...11 more lbs and I will be. I am tired bordering on exhausted every single day of my life and I take my vitamins, my carbs are under control and I'm still just plain old tired. I am on a medically supervised diet so I am not eating out of my "norm" so that i can lose this last 10lbs by the kids bar mitzvah. As the stress gets more and more I feel more and more like going back to old habits.....it's hard not to rely on what you know. As the therapist drags up old feelings of inadequacy i want to turn towards food but i know that won't help me so i read and sleep a lot (sounds like depression to me but she won't give me meds!) I'll be fine I just need some warm weather, how many days in a row can it be less then 10 degrees when you leave the house before the depression sets in? I just threw the popcorn out of my house so the temptation is leaving slowly. I guess i'll start back on the diet with the next meal and hope for the best. Maybe i'll dance tonight or run up and down the steps. there's got to be an answer. Keep in mind that if snails wait in the same spot for too long they can become lunch for someone else, does that apply to dieting as well? Hugs, ANDI

Is that all you have for lunch - a boiled egg or a cheese stick????? I know that wouldn't be enough for me, but maybe that is my head hunger?
