Ruth,
I used to look at women as if they were nuts when they complained "I'm bloated
" Just like you, I have now discovered "bloating" and it ain't pretty.
Now, on the two pounds overnight thingie. Sometimes when I work a long day, say 18 or 20 hours I see the scale go up. I can't pin it on eating the wrong things or anything obvious, just that I have thrown my natural cycle off.

Ruth,
I am really inspired by the folks here at OH, especially the ladies on the May board. We share so many things in common, our hopes, dreams, aspirations... And we can relate on the not so good days and someone is usually around to pick you up!!

Hi Ruth!!!
How are you sweetie? I'm doing fine. Although I'm not at all happy with the couple pounds I gained over the holidays which won't go away! No matter how much time I put in at the gym, I cannot lose those pounds! It's annoying the living daylights out of me!
Then my daughter went and broke her elbow and caught a nasty case of the flu. And my son has pink eye. It's just so much fun! Ha, ha!

PS ~ poop regularly every day so can't blame that one
You know what? When I was 266lbs putting on 9lbs wouldn't have felt any difference on me, and when I heard / read people saying how they felt fat and bloated couldn't understand them. Well, now I know exactly what they mean. My clothes are tight again, and I feel so much fatter than I was. A few pounds really does make a difference on a smaller body. Well, thats' a positive isn't it - now I can actually feel what a difference a few pounds makes where 2 years ago I couldn't.

Hehe, good 'ol Andi, my friend. Tell me like it is
I had cancer so had a full hysterectomy 10 years ago, so no periods or hormone fluctuations thanks to HRT (Oh the joy of it, can't live without it
)
I've become obsessive over the scales again as I'm scared that if I don't get on them every day they'll shoot up even more
Yes, you could say I'm stressed at the moment, ~ I hadn't thought of that. The body produces stress hormones that prevent weight loss or even can cause weight gain. I need to chill out...................

Honestly, I am so inspired by "regular" people at my gym. There is this one guy that comes all the time and runs on the treadmill. He is the last person you would expect to see running! He is probably in his late 40s and has a long scraggly beard with greasy hair. He looks like what one of the "stoner" people from highschool would now look like! Or like one of the guys from ZZTop. Anyway, he gets on the treadmill in his dirty clothes and he will run for 3+ miles without stopping.
Then there is this VERY large man that comes in and he will jog on the treadmill for as long as he can and when he's done he will raise his hands in the air and say "Yes!" Every time I see him do that I smile because I'm so happy that he has made himself so proud!
There's another man that comes in a wheel chair and he pulls himself onto a recumbant bike and he rides for probably 30 minutes at a time.
There are so many people at my gym that truly inspire me. They come day after day and put their time in and work hard at it. They all have obstacles they are overcoming in their own ways. It makes me happy to be part of them! I know that exercise is key for me and it's hard for me to force myself to go day after day. But I know I have to do it and seeing these other "regular" people there working hard helps me to want to work hard too!
