Topic: The girls are back where they belong
Hi All, Just a quick update on me. I had my breast lift on Feb. 4th. It was a little more difficult then my tummy tuck, surprisingly to me. I am quite swollen and bruised. The surgery was a little over 4 hours, my second long surgical procedure in 6 months. I would like to pursue my thighs next but may put that off for another year because I think my body needs a rest. I also want to prove to myself that I can keep my weight steady and maybe even lose another 10 pounds. I really think that the trouble I am having getting to my goal of 140 is due in part to the loose skin and I believe a good portion of that remains in my thighs. I would like to stick with the gym and see if some of those pounds come off but on the same token if I can maintain where I am for another year that would be a huge step in the right direction for me. I watch too many programs and see too many people put the weight back on and I DON't WANT THAT TO BE ME. It scares me, everyone tells me how good I look now and I certainly don't want them talking about me behind my back if I put that weigh back on. I want to be a role model for gastric bypass surgery, not a disappointment. Anyway, my breasts look pretty good back where they belong, I didn't do implants at this point at the advice of my surgeon, he said there would be too much tension on the skin and hopefully after all the swelling is down I will be happy with the size, we'll see. I just want everyone to know that even though I don't post often I check in and you all have inspired me to stay steady in my weigh loss goal. I think everyone has done a super job with their weight loss and encouraging others here to stay on track. Amy

Mine is ready and hanging. I have it hanging at work cause that is where I munch due to boredom most of the time. Trish

I'm going to join the chain gang! I feel that for our second anniversary we should start an anniversary card list for those that want to participate. We can send cards to everyone or anyone on the list and it's a good way to know that people from different areas are thinking about one another! I would like to get to the surgeons goal for me so i've got QUITE a few paper clips and you know what's really odd, I brought a box of small paperclips home today for no real reason...i didn't need them but i felt i should have them in the house talk about odd stuff. I love the kitten petting the ducky that's my favorite! I have joined weigh****chers and on the whole i think i'm doing ok! How are you doing on the liquid/pork rind eating regime? I'm sick of calling it a diet it's got to be a constant way of life eventually. hugs, ANDI

So are we all ready 'Chain Gang'? There's a few of us in on this. Have we got our chains a'hanin'? I've got mine hanging over my dining table so each time I sit down to eat it should remind me. Hubbie has suggested putting up another one alongside it from all the pounds I've already lost to put it all into perspective! Great idea. Then I can exchange clips from one chain to the other ~ one getting shorter while one get's longer. Not sure what what strategies I'm going to use right now as nothing seems to have worked over the last 6 months! But I'm determined to get to goal by my surgiverary. Let me know how your week is going and I'll post a weight check on Friday. PS. It doesn't have to be a number on the scales goal, it can be anything you want/need it to be.

I want in on this one. I had gone from 221 to 240 due to a medication change (and a loss of motivation as I saw the weight come back on for no good reason). I am back down to 227 due to the latest surgery, so I would like to at the very least get back down to 221 which is my 100 lbs mark. I would like to lose more but I want to remain realistic. Perhaps the next surgery will be as brutal as my last knee and I will lose another 13lbs! Holly

I get on the scales daily now, and am sad to say that they are creeping up and I know why. Dehydration is my middle name. I truly do not think that I am sneaking extras... well too many extras.. heehee 285 - highest 274 - start 247 - surgery 143 - lowest since surgery 147 - stable from February - November 152.5 - today
