The day my life starts anew.

My surgery date is May 1. I have been waiting for so long that I can't believe that it's little over a week away. I've already lost 30lbs on my pre-op liquid diet; can't wait to lose more. Good luck to all the other May re-births out there! Teresa Simpson

My surgery is May 1st also. 30 pounds WOW I just started mine on the 17th and have lost 5 so keep it up. Good luck

Hi Kathryn, My name is Terri and I'm a May 1st gal!!!! I'm just curious as to what you weigh now because you look about my size from your photo. So many people say that I don't look like I need the surgery until they hear how much I weigh 246 lbs, which is down from 255 but I've been as high as 267. I am soooooo excited that new birthday is a little over a week away. I can't wait to see the new me!! A friend of mine just celebrated her 1 yr post op and she looks and feels great. She said that she would do it over and over again if she had to. She has lost 86 lbs to date. She said it feels great to be able to shop in any store (except the plus size stores) and be able to find whatever she wants in her size. I can't wait to have that experience. What are you doing now to get ready for the big day? I have to go for my pre-op testing on Tuesday so I am try to stay calm, quiet and focused. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30am but I have to be at the hospital by 5:30am. I don't think that I will be able to sleep that night. Just think, we are only 9 days away from our new life!!! I thought that this day would never get here. Well as you can see I am very excited so excuse my for going on and on. Peace.
