Scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, May 16th. Starting to get a lil' nervous. I began this process more than a year ago (insurance required 12 months dr supervised) and now I don't feel that I remember all the stuff that I learned in the seminars, nutritionalist visits, etc. from a year ago. This web site is helping though! Good Luck to everyone!

Jennifer, My date is also the 16th. It seems like forever now that everything has been approved. I started last October and was finally approved in early April. I am counting the days now and just can't wait. Good luck with your surgery!

Hi Jennifer. I just found out that my surgery date is on the 16th as well. I had a little easier time with my insurance as they approved immediately. The only problem was that two weeks after sending in, the insurance changed and we had to start over. It would be fun to keep in touch since there are a few of us on the same date. Next week, I have my pre-op class, my H&P and PAT testing. Pretty exciting!

Hi girls, I met with my surgeon yesterday and scheduled my surgery date for May 16th. I am excited and nervous! I began my actual paperwork in February of this year. I'm cash pay so basically I had to figure out how I was going to come up the the $$$. I am really looking forward to becoming a 'big looser' - but it's hard to come to terms with the reality that this is going to be the last time I'm going to begin a weight loss journey. If you're like me you have probably been on the weight loss roller coaster many times. And with each program I really thought that it was going to be the last one. Only to end up where I started - or worse. I guess that's why they say that being overweight is 80% mental and 20% physical. I'm sure the lapband is permanent weight loss tool - but I'm still nervous! Anyone else have these feelings? ~zoe in kansas
