Date set...now what?

My date is set for May 1st. Its so close but so far, I am excited and nervous. Does anyone else have to follow a rigid diet 2 weeks pre op?

Congratulations...I to will have the lap band on May 1...however they told me only liquids 3 days prior....go figure...Susan

Congrats on your surgery date! Yes, I have to follow a 2 week liquid diet before surgery.. so I will start my liquid diet 3 daysbefore my birthday! what great timing! LOL... DH and best friend wanted to take me to the Cleveland Alefest the weekend of my birthday.. so I guess that is out.. oh well....

Not sure if I do, but I would bet that would be true in my case too. I have a preop class and visit with the dr, the dietician, and the surgery team set for 4/17. But if I do I will be in the same boat, My Bday is 5/17. Yummmm liquid cake lol. Good Luck! Chelle

Good Luck to you too Michelle! It sounds like a busy month ahead for us all. I am going to make list of vitamins and some protein and other tthings for when I arrive home. Im pretty excited !!!
