I do not know about ya'll but I would like to know what happened to my world. I finally finished with my taxes and they were filed by 6 pm tuesday, this was the worse most difficult year to date. I have a second photoshoot in Tomball Texas for Jasmine's 5 year old class (she is a private school teacher there for St Anne's Catholic School (she moved from Montana to Texas in March 2008) today I had cub scouts at 6:30 pm, tuesday night, it was is Den Photos (and I am the Photographer) Erik's Den has run-ons (telling knock knock jokes) and Magnus' Den has Cheers. Erik graduated from wolf to bear, he got 1 gold and 5 silver arrow points for completing 60 electives beyond the requirements. it has been a busy year. I had a volunteer appreciation breakfast yesterday morning, got there on my bike 2 miles (dh had the car) and found out that it is the 16th of NEXT MONTH. Then I had my annual well woman in the after noon (they added an EKG to the list of tests that they run. I didnt have the car, so I pedaled... all the way there (6.5 miles) still have to get an ultrasound to check my cervix for cervical cancer and a mamogram to flatten what is left of the girls EVEN MORE!! my bp was 112/72 and my heart rate was 72, my weight was a little up there, 149.5 if you subtract off for clothes a special client shoot after that at Vintage Park in the Evening. that took 1.5 hours and I was EXHAUSTED by that point. went grocery shopping and picked up a turkey and sweet potato dinner since dh made spaghetti. the boys have scout fair on Saturday, we are in the middle of Chess Tournament and Erik is undefeated so far... even against 5th graders. he is skilled, but more effectively he is extremely confident player and is very intimidating (he would scare the crap out of me which is method of playing). We recently went to a cubscout pack camp out at Brazos Bend State Park, went to the astronomy observatory, and next is the 'wolf' graduation and mother pinning ceremony tonight. They are already signed up for camp for June. which falls immediately after. Swimming Team. Erik and Magnus both made the competition swimming team from the neighboring subdivision. They are now part of the Spring Creek Forest Sharks. they have practice 5 days a week for 1/2 -3/4 of an hour, and competition on Saturdays. My photography business is still trudging along. but I seriously do not know how I find time to brush my teeth in the morning. out dishwasher went out in February, same weekend as the dryer, I have been to home depot and lowes, but can not find what I want, so we are washing by hand, and hanging to dry on the clothes line in the back yard. good news is that our power bill dropped $50 from same month last year, even with the price hike, so we are really probably saving closer to $75 with the economizing. http://www.barefootsmiles.com I am drinking more coffee than ever, and my heart is constantly racing with the stress. Erik's best friend spent the night monday night, his mom went in the hospital this tuesday morning for a hysterectomy, I fell asleep watching New Amsterdam on Replay. There are just not enough hours in the day. The grandbaby, http://www.jordanjasonmiles.com is just getting so big, I can not believe it. I am constantly amazed at how fast it goes. his daddy is finishing up training in Missouri for the Marine Corp, his mom and his aunt are sharing a house in Tomball, Texas. Kat

Kat I am exhausted just reading your post - how on earth do you get through your day??? With all that running around you should be fit as a fiddle. Good to hear the boys are doing well. Grandbabies grow up far too quickly don't they!!! But they still remain cute. Are you still planning to relocate to Norway? How are all the plans going?

fit is one way of putting it. there was absolutely no muscle in my arm for the tetnus shot, and it hurts like a mother today, think that the chubby nurse jabbed me in the bone on purpose. I stopped and replenished my multivit supply and added in a b12 which DID not sit well on my tummy tonight. could have been the pecan pralines, could have been dinner... oh, crud, I forgot to eat dinner. oh well, I had a hunk of turkey last night, I really am fine for a few days now. no relocating. we had one of those fights that I seriously said the "D" word, and we decided that I was not ready to move after all. we are going to get this house "READY" to sell... and see where that leads. I am still mooning over some PS.. it is obvious that I am going to succeed and that it is not coming back, so it is a reasonable move. just want to get the insurance to kick in some due to the yeast infections in my belly button. I doubt that they will, but I seriously doubt that they would pay for the surgery.

I am trying to take it easy, yesterday, I detailed the car (completely stripped it out, vacuuming every square cm, including the trunk, and under the seats, removed the back seat completely and vacuumed under that too. I went to a friends house to get my formal dress back, waited for an hour, she stool me up, fine, went to the bank, got some cash, met my adult daughters at Old Town Spring for the Crawfish festival... lots of walking, talking, eating, drinking, and having a lot of fun. we left at midnight. this morning, I got up at 8 am, cleaned the kitchen, made a homemade loaf of banana / coconut bread, a pot of coffee, cleaned up the house a bit, went to Home depot and shopped for a new dishwasher, bought lumber for part of the fence that is falling down... 20 pickets, four 2x4's and some screws to re-attach the swing to the back portcullis. unloaded that in the driveway to season and acclimate before installing tomorrow. set out the saw, the drill, and the nails as well as 4x4 block so that we are ready for project day tomorrow. then I loaded the kids in the car and we drove 40 miles to the other side of Houston for the Cub Scout Fair... WOW!! I would hazard to guess that there were 300+ booths and about 100 cubbies per booth... so ABOUT 30,000 CUBBIES it was huge!!! my boys earned a badge and a beltloop as well as a patch while there were there and we got some exceptional ideas for den activities this next year. hobo stoves and raingutter barbque's with canned biscuits on a skewer... on the drive home, we did some shopping and had dinner. we took all our new patches and added them to our scrapbook packets (we are still collecting pictures, patches, and stuff to finally do our scrapbooks next month) and then dinner, and finally bed. I am whipped out and think I will crash shortly. tomorrow we replace the fence. yeah. kat
