Sorry this is late - I was out visiting with a friend last night ~ Breakfast egg ham slice of toast Snack throughout the day TSP honey crunch Lunch chicken salad cream cake Ugh...At least I know that my pouch has limits - I felt stuffed to the gills after this and sick as a dog (not from dumping though!) - if I could have made myself bring it back up it would have been gone...not eating that much again in a hurry - I learnt my lesson Dinner left over bacon & mushrooms in tomato sauce

Much as I hate to do this, I thought I would enter the above into fitday to actually see what I was eating. I am really surprised by the figures as I thought yesterday I'd done really well on the protein, but would be way up on the calories due to the cake. Anyway, here is the info: Calories - 976 Fat - 32 Carbs - 106 Protein - 68 Those numbers are way off, and I realise I need to look at this seriously and re-think my eating. I am so surprised at this - I knew the carbs would be high, but I thought the protien would have been higher, plus the cals... Does anyone still use protein shakes? How else can I get more protein?

Hey Ruth, Yes I still use protein shakes on occassion. I work 10 hr days so i usually take a protein shake to work with me in the morning. I find on the 4 days that I work and because of the breaks and lunch times I have to or else I do not get enough protein in during those days. On my days I work I usually take a protein shake to work and I also stop and get a ham egg and cheese croussiant. The ham is lean and full of protein and so is the egg and cheese. I go into work at 10 am so my lunch is not until 3 pm and I will usually bring something from home or have a tuna wrap in the cafeteria. I usually bring some pretzels to munch on for a snack for early evening then I get out of work at 9pm and I come home and eat a light dinner. I find that going back to the basics of planning works best for me....on the days I dont plan....gee**** gets out of control. Trying to grab stuff here and there wondering if there is enough protein in it just doesnt seem to work for me. I try to stay below 30 grams of fat and below 80 on my carbs. I find on the days I do my protein shakes are the best for me as I am right up around 100 grams of protein on those days. Just hang in there. Kel

Hey Ruth, I am doing just great! My weight goes up and down the same 4 lbs so I guess I am done with the losing just maintaining. Yes, work and my other things I do keep me very busy. My reign as President of the American Legion Auxiliary will be coming to an end soon so hopefully things will calm down a little bit as far as that goes. The summer will still be busy doing my end of year stuff for that though. Plus with the part time job I do for the DJ company will be in full swing with wedding season fast approaching. I enjoy it very much and love assisting the brides. I am the Customer Relations and Booking Manager for the company. Plus I am working full time for Sirius Satellite Radio and I love it. I do have a man in my life, however, he lives out of town so we try to squeeze alittle time in here and there. He is actually the owner of the DJ company, I met him thru him working as a DJ at a wedding reception last summer we did at the Legion for a couple. We have been dating now for about 7 months and things are moving along slowly with us but I really kind of like the relationship we have because I am so busy with other things at the moment. I hope everything is going great for you. I read everyone posts but rarely have time to post myself with all the running I do lately. I will try to post more often as time permits. Don't forget to stop every once in a while to enjoy the journey. Kel

Wow Kel, sounds like you are having a fun life!! By the way - how are you now after your plastic surgery? I'm seeing my pcp in a few hours to see if he will refer me for the work I'd like done - minimum I'd like is lbl and breast lift, but I'd like alot more done if I can get it. Fingers crossed.
