I am SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I STILL have not lost any weight. I guess you could say I am VERY GOOD at maintenance!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........But I am determned to do all I know how to at least try and lose weight, I am not going to give up. I've never been on a diet for so long, never actually not gained weight back, so thats a plus I suppose. I need some sympathy

Hi Ruth You have my deepest sympathy!! I am right there with you!! What is wrong with us???? I just hope the weather clears up around here so I can at least get outsied!! mY 2 Year old is a terror,so its hard to go ANYWHERE with him!! Hes into everything that hes not supposed to be into!! Drives me crazy!!! You'd think I'd be skinny by now!!!! I know I will get some exercise chasing him around this summer! I have been fighting getting those extra pounds off that I gained!! Keep going up and down! What a battle! Its so funny though,I try not to eat allot one day and gain, then the next day.I get mad and don't try and drop a couple pounds!! But anyway I feel your pain.....

I am right there with you on the maintaining. I am holding steady and while it s a little irritating, I am still 98% okay with it. but it does seem strange that we can not loose. when we want to.

mine likes to creep up.. tends to freak me out but seriously, I know what I eat, and so I know that it is not my body that is doing wrong, but my hand putting stuff in my face. I have got to stop with the pasta... ;)

you've got my sympathy AND a great big hug ((((((((((ruthy)))))))))) you're doing awesome sugar keep up the good work. I want you to remember that it's winter where you are still and that the human body is designed NOT to lose weight in winter (did you know that?) due to the whole fat = insulation theory! Are you planning on setting up your garden this year, or walking home from your work or Millie's school? What about going on family hikes or what not? I think getting you to pack a picnic or snacks and getting out into the fresh air is really going to help you. For the last few months you've been running to and fro like a crazy person and it's hard to fit in good eating when emotions are high and you are running non-stop. For what it's worth it's my opinion and I adore you. ANDI

Thanks Andi you know what - you're right. I have been running round like a headless chicken and stressed out of my brain. And stress releases a hormone (I think cortisol) which affects weight loss/gain. Maybe you and me both will lose easier once our lives settle down. hugs, Ruthxxx

The question is what can we do to release stress RIGHT NOW? How about we come up with some ideas: * turn on the radio and dance * clean a room in the house so it makes you proud * sit quietly and ponder something and see where your mind takes you * bake something for another family or for your own to surprise them * a facial * a deep heat hair treatment * painting our finger or toe nails *making a to do list and actually getting something done (what's that like?) * writing to people and telling them how special they are what else can we come up with? Ooh, those are some good ideas - I really need times of sitting quietly pondering, and I haven't made time for it. I also haven't done my nails in like forever - I just did them this morning while siting in bed relaxing (then went and hung wallpaper in teh bedroom so they look a mess again, but I got the benefit from it, plus I get to do it all over again later ) One thing I've started doing again is playing my keyboard. These are the things that get pushed out of the schedule but are probably the most important! My daughter loves giving (and receiving) head massages. It only takes a few moments, but boy does it feel good. Anyone else have any other ideas - come on gang...
