Chain Gang

Hi all how has your week been? Mine has been hectic and stressful, but I've tried to stay focussed - the paperclip chain hanging over my dining room table has really helped me remember. I have started keeping a plan of my days - each evening I write in a notebook what I have eaten and drunk and look at the good points and the not so good. Then I make a plan for the following day, building upon what worked and learning from what didn't rather than beating myself up just looking at what I didn't do right. I take it one day at a time and it is really helping me. So anyway, I only started that a few days ago and today I removed 1 paperclip from my chain - yay!! ONLY 18 more to go.....

Ruth, I am going to put my chain together to help me keep focused. The activity this week and the cutting back on the carbs have helped to get the ball rolling. I think seeing the clips will keep my eye on the ball and away from the ice cream!! Diane

I love visual things - they really help me focus on my goal. As you say, if we are looking at our chains, we aren't looking in the food cupboards (or freezer in your case!!! hehe)

I am going to start this with you on Monday. We are under a lot of stress here with my mother in law passing away and there is food all up and through this house but on Sunday night it goes out for good. I have probably gained back the 2lbs i lost with weigh****chers last week, but so be it, sometimes life goes that way. anDI

I did well on weigh****chers and I'm going back to it on Monday when I go back to work so that I can focus on me again for a change. This week has been about my family and that's great too but that means i get pushed to the wayside once again. ANDI

Really felt like I got back on track this week...brought my lunch to work (use to eat out EVERYDAY) and made homemade dinners....stayed at my calorie goal mostly. Been tracking food again in Fitday so that helps! I even got back to the gym...only 1/2lb loss but a loss none the less! Trish

Hey Trish, any loss is a great loss! Good for you for all your hard work. I'm sure you'll see results soon. Kinda unbend a clip to signify the half pound loss - you earned it

take away the word only that's awesome. Anytime you lose and NOT gain is an awesome loss. I'm back on the weigh****chers track this week and excited to be there. I have to start varying my meals or my body is going to get used to this and the weight won't move again. I've got (2) dance classes this week so i'm hoping that spurs me on to new heights of greatness. ANDI
