a Donut??
I went to my Dr. last night and he asked how I was doing with my exercising. I told him I was thinking of joining Curves, but my world kind of got turned around with my new family! Anyway.......he told me that their routine is that you only burn 180 calories....thats 1 donut!! So guess you can eat 1 donut and run to Curves and exercise it off!! !!
I don't think he was too pleased about the 4 pounds!! He just pushes exercise allot!! He says especially with winter sitting in,people tend to gain weight! How did you do with the 5 day plan??? I keep wanting to try it,but I'm so weak.... don't know if I could pull it off!! Then when I read about maybe constipation....That really scared me off!! Having this surgery and going through that part was bad enough, horrible, don't want to go through that again!!! I really am ready to try anything at this point, just to say I lost 100 pounds!!! I only have 10 more to go!!
But yea, a gal I work with is going to Curves and said it was really easy,so really thought, well I could do that.....she laughed when I told her about the donut...she said at least now she can eat her donut and then go work it off~!!
Hey Karen
the 5 day plan is not as bad as it sounds. After all, you got through the wls and then the days after that didnt' you? And it's all in your control, that's the thing about it for me, getting control back from food. Yes, I know technically I always have had control over food and food being an inanimate object cannot have control, but it is how it felt. It is a mind game, and the 5 day plan helped me realise that I've been in control all along and it that then helps me make the right choices (most of the time).
After days 1 & 2 on fluids, I had a few raisins if I wanted to snack (say 5 or so). I figured that these would help with the constipation!! As long as you keep drinking as much water as you are supposed to you should be ok, or get back to being ok very quickly.
And don't forget - it is when you are weak that you have the opportunity to be strong!! Always look for the opportunities in life and make the most of them. If you don't try it, you will never know if you can do it. If you do it and don't make it to day 5 then you can learn from this time and find new strategies to help you get to the next day the next time, and eventually get to doing the whole 5 days. There are never times of failure in life, just learning opportunies. My motto is
'To live without risk, is to risk not living'
