So ladies how is it going?
So, how is the 5 day plan going? I know a few people are doing it or at least a modified version of it. Ruth, you are finished right? Do tell what you thought and any new found wisdom or results.
I am doing good. Eating just one complete meal a day and then supplementing with protein shakes. I do feel more in control. The scale has not moved yet...maybe it's broken or something...that would explain no movement since May??? Hee, hee.

My last day was Sunday. On Tuesday the scale went right back up 2lbs to where it has always reverted to since May grrrrr.......BUT I was determined to stick to the right eating and this morning it has gone back down again (whew!)..so I am pleased.
Overall, I viewed this as a detox for me - it helped me stick with it - just a mentality thing, but for me it worked rather than thinking I'm on yet another fad diet! After the first 3 days I did feel much better, more energised, maybe psychological, knowing that I had detoxed, but it worked whatever
I am very glad I did it - it was exactly the right time for me. I plan to do it again, but probably will just do 3 days of fluids next time, every so often.
Mindyou, it hasn't broken my cravings for snacks and carbs!!! BUT it has strengthened my resolve and determination to make the right choices for snacks and food, which is my main battle. I am determined to reach my goals now and feel that I have proved to myself that it is possible. I do not have to be stuck here forever, no matter how long it takes me. I am in control of food, not the other way around.
PS I have to say I couldn't have done it without all the support I got from this board - thanks everyone

I am doing well. Feel fantastic, lots of energy and definitely feeling more in control of what I am putting in my mouth. Added some food back in, but still doing 5 protein shakes a day. I am euphoric, I feel like I did when I was about 8 weeks out. Maybe someone has spiked my protein powder!!
