Aghhhhh................my hair loss had really slowed down, but over this 5 day plan, boy it was coming out in handfuls - well not quite that bad, but it was like the early days again. I hope it stops soon

Yikes!!! So how have you done on the plan. As a post-op, when I transitioned to mushies from liquids, soft meats from mushies, etc, I would hit a stall for a few days and then the weight loss would pick up again. Has the weight loss continued for you thru the rest of the plan? Like I was telling Trish, I am going to stick with the liquid part for awhile. I'm now 10.2 lbs from a normal BMI and have dropped 6.6 lbs in the last couple days. I would like to go on liquids til I hit 159 or October 23, whichever comes first. I just can't believe that I am not really hungry. Just tells me that I have been eating way more than I should have. Diane

I lost 5 pounds in 4 days, then stayed the same. My day 5 was Sunday, but today I got on the scales and it has bounced back up by 2lbs again upto the same weight I always seem to settle at. I was so pumped at getting below it finally, but I refuse to let the numbers dictate my emotions today. I WILL continue to eat right. I'm a bit concerned about you staying on liquids for that long. I think I may do one day a week on liquids, then eat 'right' the rest of the week. You've done fantastic to lose 6.6lbs already. Its' so frustrating being close to normal bmi but not there yet isn't it. If I take todays weight I've got 15lbs to lose to get to normal bmi. I've never been normal in my whole life, so it will be such an accomplishment. We CAN get there Diane, we just need to keep our eyes on that goal.

Ruth, Thanks for your concern. Yes, liquids is drastic. I guess I just want a second honeymoon. I have added some food back in. My doctor just prescribed an anti-inflamatory on Monday, which I can't take on an empty stomach. So twice a day I eat something light and I have 5 protein drinks a day. The one thing I have noticed, though, without the carbs I feel fantastic. My energy level seems to be back where it was last August/September, when my recovery from the surgery was done and I was eating only protein. My eating habits had gotten so bad I was probably 50/50 with protein and carbs... okay, that's not counting the chocolate I was snacking on all day long! Diane
