Hi all, how are you doing? Last night (end of day 3) I went to bed at 8.30 and slept solid for 12 hours! I felt really rough, but this morning I've woken up bursting with energy and feel great! I haven't had any protein shakes yet today, I had a cup of chilli for lunch and will have a couple of shakes throughout the evening. Lost another pound today, so am now 1 pound off losing 100 woohoo In British terms I have been stuck at 12 stone 1 pound since May and this morning I was 11 stone 13 pounds (you go from 11st 13 to 12st then 12st 1 etc.). I do not know the last time I was 11st something. Way before I was 16 that I do know.

YAY RUTH!!! :clap I am starting the 5 day plan TODAY!!!! I researched it and I think it's a great idea!!! You all have done so good and I have enjoyed reading your posts. I too have been stuck since May...I only have 10lbs to go so it's very frustrating...but I think the turning point for me was that I have started eating WAY more...I ate an entire serving of lasagna for goodness sakes! Let's not even talk about the snacking or the "slider" foods...that is all I eat. Wish me luck...figure I will start on the weekend and get the hardest part over with before heading back out to work and having to deal with people... Hey, how did you all handle cooking for the family while on it? Did you just opt out? That is what I'm thinking...DH can handle it right? Trish

still had to cook AND wash up for the family! Didnt' find it difficult at all though - usually that's when I snack the most. Just make sure you've had plenty of protein shakes so that you are not hungry. It actually made me feel good knowing that I had control over food and not the other way around. Never was too hungry though, remember to drink LOADS of water.

Ruth, Today is my day 1. I was going to start tomorrow, but I decided to bite the bullet! I've kept myself very busy today so I don't think about food. Now that the day is winding down... I just want to snack!! I have become the snack queen. I am hoping this will kick me in the butt and get me back on track! Diane

Trish, I agree, not really hungry, but fighting the urge to "snack." I found this morning a bit rough. I wasn't going to have any caffeine, but I gave in and got a no-fat latte. Seems to have taken the edge off. Good Luck on Day 2! Diane

Yay Diane & Trish..good for you for biting the bullet and going for it. I put it off for three days hee hee, but got there eventually. The first day I found was not hungry but a fighting my food head demons type day - once I realised that I COULD be in contol the rest got easier. Now I've introduced 'proper' food I hear the snacks callign my name again. You CAN do this, and will see results Look forward to hearing how it's going for you both, and supporting you all the way.

Hi, I started with a protein shake yesterday morning and then my son made macaroni and cheese....Yikes. Had a couple of bites. Then I made stew for dinner and had a small portion of that but had a few slices (skinny) of this awesome cibatta bread. Had some pretzels at night. Funny thing is.... the scale went down. I lost 1.5lbs but I just started my period so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. My period hasn't affected my weight loss in quite a few months as it has in the past. So today I had a bagel for breakfast and then a protein shake for lunch. I am not sure what I am having for dinner and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow. Good luck to all of you guys that have the guts to stay on track. Keep up the good work. Amy
