Weekend Plans?
Hi Ruth!
I tend to start projects and not finish them too! Which is why I resolved to painting the garage this weekend ... it's been a long project of hanging up drywall, texturing, and now I need to paint it. I just need to finish the project!
Today is pay day so I'm going to Walmart to stock up on everything! I need to organize everything so my daughter can start school on Wednesday.
Also, my husband is planning a date for us this weekend. Which scares me because he is an Engineer with not one romantic bone in his body. So, what his idea of a fun date is might be "weird" to me! But, at least he's trying!

Well its grandmas weekend so saturday we go there to go riding. She is also taking the kids out to buy them shoes... we love grandma.. she takes good care of the kids..
Today I am taking the oldest shopping for clothes.. a 16 year old girl... pray for me... lol
Sunday and Monday we are helping my friend move into a condo. She is moving back to the area after a year.. we are so happy she is just around the corner from us so we can spend more time together.
Sunday is my sons first real game at football so we are pulling out all the hats and bells.. name on the car, number on the car... posters.. the whole works.. so that will be a lot of fun...
So as always another busy weekend for me... hehehe.. but hey.. i dont mind. its so great to have a life that I can be involved in.
See you all sunday. I do check in each day but the board gets pretty quite on the weekends...
hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hi all -
Its funny that a lot of us are paired with engineers. My boyfriend is also an engineer.
My sister is coming to visit me here in San Francisco (she lives in Washington DC), so I need to do some MAJOR cleaning/de-cluttering of my studio apartment, and I hate cleaning/de-cluttering.
I'm not sure what she and I will be doing this weekend, but it will be nice just to see her. The last time she visited me here was 4 years ago. I usually see her when I visit the family which all live on the east coast.
Have a great weekend,
Heather
Everyone sounds so busy!! My middle child and his ex-is having problems as usual....so she is going to jail....domestic...so of course I have the 2 grandkids..4 yrs & 19 months. I went back to work at the school on Monday and was planning on being kidfree this 4 day weekend. But thats where my stress of this all comes in.. They both need to grow up so bad! But you have to take care of the kids, its not their fault they have jack ...es for parents!! Guess I should be thankful my other 2 didn't turn out this way!!!!! But I get just so upset with the tied down feeling that I am grazing all the time!! My hubby is an over the road trucker,so he is leaving for Florida tomorrow, not much help from him! He does when hes home and he keeps telling me to quit my job and go with him on the road!! But WHO will take care of these innocent kids???? Surely not their parents...but they don't want to sign them over to us......loss of welfare stuff ya know!!! Anyway thats my unplanned plans........sorry so depressing..but guess I am bummed today!!
I am getting my foster kids ready for school. We have been shoe shopping and it is an interesting experience. One kid has to have the perfect shoe, no strip of red in his shoe nosiree... another kid is just so grateful for getting shoes that he will say that the ones that are five sizes too big fit just fine... and the other just rolls on the floor laughing and poking fun at people (no attention span) I did get shoes for all after 5 hours but then I had to come home and just sit for a couple more. Who said that boys were easier to shop for? I think next time I will just trace their feet and hope for the best! (Seriously I won't but the thought is tempting)
Holly
Hey Holly
Tracing the feet is a GREAT stress buster idea Shame we can't actually do it!!
How long have you been a foster parent? We were foster parents while we lived in America. I really miss it - the system is very different here and 'difficult', so we haven't been able to foster
We are hoping one day to return to America to foster again - not for a few years yet tho'.
