(((((((((((((((((((((Jenia))))))))))))))))))))) Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I wish I had a quick easy answer to put everything right for you and wave a magic wand to get rid of your excess weight just like that But both you and I know it doesn't work like that I think I can understand how you are feeling and sympathise totally with you. DId your doc give you any advice? On a personal note, I find staying on this board keeps me on track. During the times when I'm not losing reading and posting on here keeps me thinking in the right direction, and stops me from giving up. Do you think your body has got into a routine and needs shaking up a little? DO you vary your exercise routines? Maybe have a vacation from exercise and calorie counting for a few weeks - and then getback to it with a new energy? Cheer up - you have done a fantastic job so far and the journey is not over yet

Did you try and up your calories a bit and see if you're body is in starvation mode and holding on to the weight? You can't rush the process, it's not a race but a journey. If you stress out about it, are you really enjoying your journey and do you think it'll help you get there any quicker? Hugs, ANDI ps. NY misses you, come on back! pps. no deal on the genetics, override it and show your body who's boss

OMG!! I was the same way! I weighed 190-191 since December!! I felt like my body was stuck at that weight, too! I know how you feel and it IS very depressing!! I lost 5 pounds being sick for a weekend and finally got under 190...been hanging at 186-189...its hard. It is weird, like Andi said, you may not be eating enough.. I've got my weight to move before that way! It seems like I ate allot and the scales moved!! Strange! But anyway I see that you had your surgery a day before mine,I am a very slow loser and not too good at exercising either! Hang in there you aren't done yet! ((((hugs)))))

I agree, with everyone else, look at what your eating... not enough? too much? you should eat mostly protein, skip all bad carbs ... exercise what kind? how long and how much? if too much go 3 days a week

You could also always try the "Plateau Buster" or "Time Out" programs...these are a little extreme in my opinion but it does work for some. You can do a search of some other boards...esp. WLS graduates to find the info. BUT...if you are truly exercising 7 days a week and keeping your calories between 1000-1300 a day, I think you do need to up them...I've heard that works wonders and strange as it sounds! Best of luck, Trish

Hi Jenia - I'm sorry that your weight loss has been so slow. I've been avoiding the site because I had been regaining weight and I didn't want to face the success of others on the board. But then by not being on the board, it made it easier to put the weight loss/surgery on the back burner. So, I'm glad that you are back to the board. I have just returned as well. I think you are doing great, and it may just take longer to lose what you want to. Hang in there. Take care, Heather
