Do you Drink Coffee???
Just wanted a survey... I never really liked coffee prior to surgery and since my tastes have changed I absolutely love it!! I MUST have my coffee every morning!!! I usually make it with splenda and Davinci SF vanilla syrup and SF vanilla cream. A couple of times a week when I realize I didn't get my protein the day before I will mix a scoop of vanilla protein with a smidge of milk(to keep protein from clumping) and then add it to my coffee mmm mmmm good. But upon further thought... I had an addiction to sodas before surgery 6-10 regular cokes a day (bad girl) soooo Have I trade one addiction for another???
Missy
P.S. This thought provoking is all Ruth's fault-(hehe love ya Ruth)per her last post she asked about rules and I thought I have been so good with no soda's in 17months!!!But I do drink coffee every day now and just can't seem to live without it!!
I do not drink coffee.. i cant even stand the smell of the stuff. my SO drinks it everyday and even has some machine that kills the beans and makes the stuff fresh everyday. god forbid she doesnt get her coffee in the morning.
I was very addicted to sodas and since surgery I have not touched them. I know if I drank them I would go back to a 12 pack a day.. all that salt isnt good for you.. so you understand my addiction to that as well.. yeah.. i avoid them.. i had quite drinking them for a few years and it only took a couple cokes to take me right back to my addiction of 12 plus a day.
I mostly drink earl grey tea, but have the occassional weak coffee - I LOVE starbucks, and have just got into iced coffee, yummy.
I also used to drink SO much diet pepsi - I don't think I was addicted but that is all I drank, so missed it terribly when I first had wls. Now I can't stand the taste of any soda, thankfully otherwise I'd be right back there drinking that instead of water.
Do tea & coffee count towards fluid intake per day?
Hey Ruth, I haven't tried the Starbucks!! I have heard it can be expensive and just didn't want to go there!! But where I live there is one on almost every corner!! Maybe I will break down and try it as a treat!
I think people have different opinions on whether coffee & tea count as your intake! I would have to say if it is decaf then yes "I" would count it! But if it caffinated we should drink a matching amount of water to flu**** out as caffine will dehydrate us.
Unfortunately for me my coffee is caffinated! But the tea I make at home is decaf. If I go out to eat and order my tea to go I always assume it has caffine and try to drink some water also.
