I'm Embarrassed To Admit This:
Does anyone else talk to themselves? I have found that I am talking to myself a great deal lately. I give myself motivational speeches, I comtemplate why i'm eating what i'm eating when i'm eating it (especially when it's not a meal but a snack) and a host of other times as well. I was trying on some clothes and having a full running dialogue with me and the saleswoman asked me if i was talking to her, i said no just thinking out loud! WOW that was mortifying. ANDI
Nothing to be embarrassed about. Many athletes talk to themselves to pump themselves up before or even during a game and it is not considered the least bit unusual. Studies have shown (although I don't have the links handy) that talking to one's self help to focus on issues through aural stimulation, effectively helping to block all the other thoughts running through your mind. So I see nothing embarrassing about it. I would much rather hear someone talk to themselves (pumping themselves up or reminding themselves of something) than having to listen to people who have the wireless earclips on their cellphones while they carry on a loud conversation in a public place .

Yep all the time! Of course I thought it was due to my memory failing-I have to remind myself to do things!!I am also a note person I make a note or a list of to do's and then I lose it!!I talk to myself all the time! Always heard that was ok as long as you didn't answer yourself! HEHE! Funny you posted this as I was at the JCPenny outlet last Friday night just a talkin a way to myself about these really cute shoes and whether or not I needed a size 6 or 7. I am going to try the self motivational talks though cause I could really use one right now.But I'll go with Hawkeye Mikes analogy-I like that athlete pumping up!!! Yep that is my story & I am sticking to it!!HEHE
