Finally back on track

Oh my.. finally saw my arthitsis doc today and got the ok you can have your remecade back.. yes... i tell you.. i have hurt so much I havent been able to sleep, i am dropping things, cant open bottles and couldnt lift any weights. He gave me a stat treatement today along with a load of cortizone to ease some of the pain I was in. I am already starting to feel better and he says by wednesday I should be doing a ton better.. so maybe soon I can get back to doing my exercises and getting on with life again without hurting all the time. whoo hoo...

Oh Carla, that is awesome! I'm so happy for you! You must be so glad and relieved! Have you tried a yoga or pilates class? I wonder if that would be good for you? I'm wanting to try pilates but haven't been brave enough yet. But I hear it's good for your core strengthening. Gotta get my gym partner back! Hee, hee! I went to kick-boxing tonight and was yelling "hah-hah" along with the instructor and it felt GREAT! She commented on my big muscles ... yikes! Deanna

Girl.. I have done pilates.. that is one tough class.. truthfully.. I die.. than you do a lot of balancing on your butt.. remember I have no butt.. so it kills.. love the class but it is really hard.. yeah.. already planning my return to the gym. My hands are getting stronger as I sit here. the cortisone was for immediate relief while the remecade should kick in by wednesday. I already feel much better... I'll be right back there with you soon..

glad you are feeling much better, i wonder if a water aerobics class would be good for you, low impact and the water acts like a cushion. ANDI

Glad you are feeling better - or will be soon Don't forget when you start working out again that you will need to up your calories or you will start losing again. You've been maintaining pretty well haven't you?

Carla, Hope you are feeling better today!!! I agree with Andi you should look into water aerobics! I broke my foot & ankle 2 years ago and had severe nerve damage and they Dr's sent me to water physical therapy!! It did wonders & I enjoyed it....hmmm maybe I should go again... Missy
