Trouble breathing

Hello everyone, I had RNY gastric bypass surgery on May 24th, 2006. I have lost a total of 174 pounds and for some reason I am now having trouble breathing. Does anyone know if this has anything to do with weight loss surgery? Thank you Eddie Montes

Eddie, Congrats on the 174 lbs!! That is Awesome!! I am not sure how the trouble breathing could be from surgery unless you have some sort of vitamin deficiency!! How has your labs been? When was the last time you had them checked? I know with iron deficiencey you can be tired & have shortness of breath! But I am not a Dr or a nurse so please go get checked out by your DR. You are having trouble breathing and you've come on a website to find out if this is normal? Call me crazy, but how's about contacting your family doctor? I'm a New Yorker as well, it's humid and hot as heck, do you have asthma or a history of a breathing disorder? Go seek some medical help and come back and introduce yourself to us, we'd like to get to know you more. ANDI
