Weekend Plans
So what are you doing this weekend?
I went to bed early Friday night to get away from the carbs - it worked. Today - Saturday, we practiced putting up our new tent - talk about complicated the first time!! Now we know what we are doing it will be fine, but we are complete novices. Thankfully we didn't end up with a family argument, like we usually do when we try things like this!!
Then we went shopping and I did the try on things in sizes too large thing for the first time It was a great feeling - a bit disappointing when they didn't have the jeans I wanted in my size as they were all too big, but I'd rather be too small than too big!! I bought a new top in UK size 18 (US 16) and a pair of jeans in UK 12 (US 10) WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER been this size before in my life. I went straight from childrens' sizes to size US 14. And the best thing was it was Buy One Get One Free!!!!!
Then I left my purse at the coffee shop, and when I realised ran at full speed back down to the store (about 5 minutes) . Thankfully someone had kindly handed it in, and everything was still in it, and the other good thing was that I was not out of breath at all after running!! That was a major shock in itself
Great day, and I've managed to tame the Carb snack monster today too.
Tomorrow, we are ministering at a church in London, preaching and leading worship, so I am going to wear my new clothes.
wow! what a great weekend!
you are getting smaller all the time..... and don't you feel great! I like not being the one huffing and puffing and not being able to keep up with my family.
My weekend is busy working and getting ready to leave again.
Monday we are flying to Toronto, Canada(husbands business). we are coming back Thursday and leaving Friday for West Palm Beach (my brothers getting married) and the Monday after that I have my plastic surgery appointment in the area. I got a hotel room at the Marriott right on the beach in Palm Beach and the best part was my husband travels so much my room was free...LOL. Then I will be coming home the following Wednesday....
Well Saturday I went shopping for some clothes. Kohls was having their early bird special. I must of tried on 30 pair of shorts and pants. Had a lot of fun with it buying some new clothes. The sizes range from 1 to 5 depending on the cut so I was happy with that. Saturday night we went to the Quakes game. They are the minor league team for the Aniehiem Angels. I ate like a pig... bad bad bad, but I had a lot of fun.
Sunday we are having a BBQ and grandma is coming over.. Doing housework and all that fun stuff. I had to buy a stove this weekend cause mine went out so I will do some baking for the week so my meals will be ready to go each day.
Have fun all...
I bought a new kitchen yesterday, we saved so much money through specials and coupons and such. I got a $7968 kitchen for $5208.00 I was so thrilled that we waited, my husband was ready to poop pickles for the last few weeks. I did remember that they'd be running specials. I went walking at a farmers market today and did the food shopping and laundry (oh the fun). ANDI
Friends of ours will be helping my husband install the new kitchen. It's a pretty honey spice maple, there aren't too many bells and whistles because that's not what i wanted. I enjoy cooking so I needed the kitchen to be functional, I am getting two pantry closets that will help and a built in microwave so that will look great. We're doing the ceiling in a hammered copper and the floors are the original mississippi wide board planks from when it was first built in 1908. We are going back and forth on the countertops, I want granite my husband wants something less expensive, I'll win but we'll duel until i do! Hugs, ANDI
Before living in this house, I lived in a brand spanking new town house, everything was fresh and really in move in condition. When my husband found this old "fixer upper" i couldn't envision what he was saying, he goes you have to be able to see it in your minds eye i screamed back at him.....are you kidding me Martin Luther King couldn't even fathom the dream your talking about and we both laughed. We've lived here for 14.5 years, this is the first significant change we are making to really make this house our own! The countertops now are orange (yes i know) formica, the cabinets are a rich oak, I enjoy the cabinets but they are not aging well, they are just breaking, they've given it their all, it's time for them to rest! I am going on a tour of a granite place in New Jersey, I will win this battle it's just the timing. What i've got going in my favor is i need (4) slabs and none of them are large so (1) i dont' need them from the same excavating run as they won't be butting up next to one another (2) there will be no seams so therefore, no problems with the edges (3) it's less expensive to use four seperate slabs (the equivalent of excess) because they can be what the granite place has in stock and I already know that i want either green or beige/coral color so unless he has something fabulous those are less expensive colors. You convinced yet? ANDI
