Scary emotional issues...

Hey all... I had gbp surgery on may 8th, 2006. Is anyone having bad emotional issues still. I know we go through them, but after all this time is anyone having still having any problems? I'm getting really scared. My doctor put me on meds but, whats going on? I'm angry, throw fit*****h and kick things, cry...I can't handle it. I don't know whats going on. I can't control it. Please help... Tina

Hi Tina Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. I'm glad your doctor is taking care of you. I can't say I'm having the same problems - I am stressed and emotional at the moment but that's for other reasons in my life at the moment, not from WLS. Has your doctor suggested other reasons for your emotions and reactions, or does s/he think it is due to the surgery? I hope things sort themselves out for you soon - it will take a while for the meds to 'kick in'. Hang in there, things WILL get better Ruth

Hey Tina, I'm sorry you're going through this. What makes you think it's the weight loss surgery triggering it? Have you started seeing a therapist yet, because if not, I strongly advise you to think about it. I must say that since surgery my moods are a lot better and I'm more positive. ANDI
