I've totally fallen off the bandwagon and I'm asking for your HELP and SUPPORT. Rather it be nice or just plain rude and to the point - give it to me!!! - I was down to a size 4 and I'm UP to a size 8. - I was down to 130's and I'm up to 166!!!!! I am able to eat same size portions as before surgery. Nothing makes me ill. I've stopped working out (and you all know how ridiculous I was about it!). I'm drinking soda. I'm eating like CRAP. I worked WAY to hard and to long to come thus far and start gaining it. I don't want to be "one of those". Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

Megan, I do know what you are saying "that you don't want to be one of those"~!!! It scares me all the time!! I do know it is hard when this is all over and you can eat as before and drink and nothing bothers you! I am there, too. I feel so "FAT" anymore!! I just can't lose any weight!! I feel like a BIG loser of the wrong kind!! Hang in there, though, you can still get back on track! I haven't been able to lose, but at least I haven't gained ,"yet"!! I sure hope I don't! Exercise is very helpful and I have been awful at that from the beginning and I know thats my biggest problem!! Good lucK....you can do it again and lose that weight!!

Oh Megan, you poor dear! I've been wondering about you ... I'm so glad you posted! OK, I can eat just about anything and that scares the living daylights out of me. I've noticed that I can eat larger portions now too. I don't dump on anything ... the only thing that bothers me is pasta or too soft or too thick bread. And it's not that is bothers me really, I just don't prefer it anymore. Anyway, I do feel your pain! The only thing keeping me stable is that I continue to exercise. I just HAVE to! I know that I love to eat ... and I think that I will always love food and the love of eating. I think the only way for me to keep my weight stable is to exercise. I force myself to keep a routine of going on the same days at the same time ... it is part of my schedule. I have found a kick-boxing class that I LOVE! I actually look forward to going to that class. Have you tried it yet? It's fun! You need to find some sort of exercise that you actually enjoy. I truly think it helps keep you motivated to go to the gym if you enjoy what you're doing. Give yourself some sort of goal to work for ... buy yourself something new once you reach that goal. Even if it's just going to the gym for 5 days ... reward yourself with something that isn't food for reaching that goal. It might help spark that in you to get back into that routine. I don't know if anything I said is helpful or not ... but I do feel your pain! Megan, I truly miss you on this board ... I hope to see you around here more often! Deanna

*HUGS* Hi DEANNA!! It's so wonderful to see/read your response. I think of you so often, seriously! Anytime I hear of a marathon or race being ran I think of you and your inspiration to get my butt out there and do it too!! How are you doing? Have you done anything more on that front?

I know you know this so lets just say it.. Stop.. saying each day you will change and dont doesnt work me.. thats how I got obese.. you can do it.. go on sparkpeople and monitor you intake.. get back in the gym. and most importantly dont give up on yourself.. you know you can do it if you just stop talking and get up and do it.. I am not in that boat right now but it scares me to death.. i have done and been there before.. its a different kind of determination now.. we have always dieted or eaten.. now it is time to learn a new trick.. how to maintain.. good luck and you are in my thoughts.

Hi Megan! I've missed you. You HAVE worked too hard to go back now. Get back to protein in the morning to start your day off right. Stop the soda right now. I don't think it's good for us. You are a workout goddess. You know how much you love it. Get back in there fabulous girl!!! Love ya! Darlene

Hi Megan. It's so good to see you again - I'm just sorry that you are having a tough time. You know the answers yourself, we can just re-inforce them. For me, I HAVE to use a small bowl/plate, otherwise I eat too much. Have you contacted your doctor and asked for help. It is in their best interest to help you too. Ask for councelling to help you figure out why you are sabotaging yourself after working so hard. Try taking small baby steps. It is always much more daunting thinking that you've got to go to the gym every day and eat nothing type thing. Make yourself a list of the changes you need to make to your life style (including eating behaviours). Not huge major changes, but small ones, like, I will use a small bowl and not go back for seconds, type thing, or I will go to one gym class this week. Then pick ONE thing only. Do not overwhelm yourself trying to do it all - You will not do it. So pick ONE thing, and do it for a week. Once you have success with that you can move onto the next baby step for a week. Build on your successes. You know you can do this. You can do it two ways, you can either totally focus on it and revolve your life around it, or you can do it in little steps, whichever works for you. Being blunt here, it doesn't seem to have worked doing it the way you did before, as you seem to have gone back to all your old ways. You need to change your lifestyle so it supports your weight, not hinders it once you lose focus, so that it becomes habit and second nature. We each need to find the right path that works for us. For me, I am taking the small slow road, but that is one I can manage to maintain. For someone like Carla or Deanna it has become second nature to exercise for them. I wish I could be like that, but it's been over a year and I still am not, so I have to accept how my body & mond works and work with it. Find the way that works (which means continually, not just short term) for you. Thats' my thoughts anyway, for what they are worth. I hope you get it sorted and wish you success. Keep posting - it keeps me on the journey. Without the friends on here I probably would have given up months ago.
