Hi Carla!!!
What are you going to do to your hair? I'm trying to grow mine out but it's getting all fried and frizzy looking on the ends. It's driving me crazy!
Yesterday I ran the 5K run on the 4th of July and it was HOT! I was soooo dang sweaty and I thought I wasn't going to make it. I was having to do some major emotional counseling in my head that last 1 mile because I wanted to stop and walk so bad. But I kept trucking along and finished in 33 minutes even! But afterwards I was so hot that I thought I was going to throw up. I had to walk around for awhile and drink some water and then finally I cooled down and felt better. I'm taking today off from exercise to let my body rest. I need it!
This morning I took the kids down to our State Capitol building ... they have fountains out front that they let the kids play in. So I got to sit out in the sun and read a magazine while the kids played. I thought that was great for cheap entertainment! And I got to get a tan at the same time! Fun!
Eating:
B--2 scrambled eggs, 1 cup light orange juice
S--protein ball
L--1 small slice thin crust pizza
S--leftover rice krispy treat (thank goodness it's the last one!)
D--leftover lasagna made with whole wheat noodles and ground turkey
S--probably a protein ball
Exercise:
Resting today. My shins are killing me after yesterday!
Oh, I went to a real running store today and tried on running shorts. I was really glad to find a pair that runs slightly longer so my unsightly saggy thighs don't show quite as much. And the best news is they are a size MEDIUM!!! How freaking cool is that??? So I paid $38 for a pair of running shorts ... I am so tight on money but I splurged and bought them anyway! It feels GREAT to be a real runner! Ha, ha, ha!

I'm trying to decide what to do with my hair too. I had it cut when it got thin last year (well thinner than it was before already ), and now it's not looking too good - thin and lank is a good description to be honest! I've still got the tufts going on that I try to stick down with hair spray
I've been trying to grow it for years, and last time I went to the hair dresser she suggested hair extensions (the cheap versions!!!), so I'm thinking about trying them out over the summer break while I'm away from work. I'd also like to go purple, just to be different. I've become far to staid and boring lately. Trouble is that I want to re-live my younger years now that I am thinner and do all the things I didn't do because I was fat! Nothing worse, though than an aging woman trying ot be young hee hee..... The good thing now is that I dont' really care what others think, so I may just do it all anyway, and say what the heck!!!
I know the feeling.. I am dressing my my 16 year old.. I love the clothes they have out for the younger ppl so to heck with it.. I love the hipsters and cute tops.. and as far as hair.. i have gone blonde with the meg ryan look.. I just love the sassy look I have now.. even it i am probably to old for it.. i dont care.. i can do and be all the things I dared not do when I was obsese.
