Where is everybody?????????????????????
I'm back too...just got home from a week in Michigan (was traveling with a friend whom had a stroke) to visit her family. So it was a week of eating wrong, not drinking enough and making horrible choices...mostly because i had no choice...the family owns an upscale italian restuarant...need I say more? We ate/drank their 4 of the 6 days, then a BBQ with only hamburgers/hot dogs...then the final day another BBQ with BBQ ribs and potatoes...not a lot of good choices. We stayed at her sister's house...not a fruit or a vegetable in sight...no kidding!
So, now I am home and ready to get back in the routine...I got up bright and early and went to the gym...prepped food for the week etc...I know I gained a few pounds and I feel totally bloated.
It's funny...I don't post very often but read everyday but I missed it. I felt completely out of my element and totally out of control and I know if I had your posts to read it would of helped...so thank you all.

Hi Ruth
I'm home in Fla, we watched the fireworks from home, their were so many.... the city was setting them off in a park close by so it was fun. we went kayaking in the morning and a shark bashed up against my boat... ( I thought I was going to have a heart attack). .LOL it was huge.... but then I thought it was kinda cool... later I saw a sea turtle.... one more week and then Jamaica.... yippee!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ruthie!!!
I'm having so much fun!
Yesterday I ran my 5K and it went great! I nearly threw up from heat exhaustion though! But I completed the course in 33 minutes and kept up with my friend who has been running for over 5 years. So I was pretty darn proud of that!
Today I took my kids out to lunch and then to play in the water fountain at our state capitol building. It was so much fun to sit in the sun reading a magazine and watching them play. I felt like part of society! I used to stay cooped up inside with the air conditioner cranked. It just feels so good to get outside and enjoy life for a change! I decided I'll take them back down there tomorrow with a picnic lunch. It's an easy way to entertain them and I get a suntan out of the deal!
