what I have learned this weekend
you said in your post that you eat oreos, trail mix, baked goods etc obsessively when they are in the house, that's a food demon. A food demon is anything that you eat/do without being in control of the consumed amount...if you are eating obsessively you've got food demons! You don't think a therapist could help you HA, good try with that, if you're too proud to go to one or don't think you've got issues that is a whole other story! ANDI
well then.. hmmm
I have Mercedes demons
and Nikon Demons
and Exxon Demons
and Verizon demons
and Delta Demons
and American Express demons
and definitely David Boreanez
because if any of those were in the house I would definitely be out of control on
I USED to crave ice cream. now I do not even pause in the ice cream isle. so my cravings have shifted this month, to something else.
I USED to crave sex, now I have eliminated that demon... oh crap, my hubby is still pissed about that one.
if you have conquered ALL your demons' well that is just bloody lovely. I would say that you are in the minority.
as for therapy. no everyone needs to be validated by a professional at $110 / hour to feel secure in themselves. you bet your sweet patootie that this size four butt is proud. proud as can be that I am below goal. proud that I did do it on schedule and maintaining. and omg proud that I am so freaking happy and healthy period.
my mom was like you, needing all that Dr Phil stuff and hey, (one hand raised in the air, snapping finger, other on my hip) more power to ya if ya'll NEED that type of validation. me... hahahaha I just loooove wigging my size [4] tooshy
I may WANT the cookies and I may EAT them if they are in the house until they are gone. I KNOW that I am not alone, and that MY admitting that it does happen, (that there is no majic wand that takes that away the cravings) MAY help someone else. If you think that you will never have another issue with food again. well. (sucking on a thumb and middle finger) damn girl you got some better drugs than I do!
auch auch auch (hand up in front of the face) before you even start more flaming
just agree to disagree and move on.
