Need to lose those last 7 pounds to reach goal

I am trying desperately to lose the last 7 to 9 pounds (weight fluctuates daily) to reach my gaol. Has anyone here reached their goal weight yet? I had a lot to lose. I began at 275 and want to get to 130. I have lost 138 pounds (on a good day). I am only 5 ft. 2 in. tall so 130 is not unreasonable for me, at 136 I will be at a normal weight for my height. Any suggestions on reaching goal? I have stepped up my exercise and try to only eat things that are healthy but I have a hard time with that occasionally.

How many calories are you eating each day and what is the amount of exercise you are doing. I reached my goal a while ago and am below it. I discovered that I tend to stay for a long time in one spot I upped my food intake and started loosing again. You need to make sure you arent putting your body in starvation mode. I was doing that for a while and didnt loose anything.. have you tried to use sparkpeople. It tells you how much you should be eating and monitors your exercise and intake each day. It has helped me a lot to reach my goal.. you will do it you've done a great job already... just keep up the good work... 5' 5' 264/129/135

I haven't done real well at monitoring calories. I just keep track of my protien mostly to make sure I get enough. I will try to start keeping track of the calories and exercise to make sure I am getting what I need. Thanks so much!

I reached goal about 5 months ago. maintaining now. I sincerely believe in the lean meats and leafy green vegetables and smaller portions are what got me there. during my steepest decline, I was consuming chicken and fish and lean pork and lean beef primarily, accompanied by lots of broccoli and asparagus and romaine lettuce. breakfast was cottage cheese and occasionally an egg. I use 1/2 cup food prep bowls to keep me on target for the right portions. Kat (Klein, Texas) http://www.wretchedheathen.com (home) http://www.barefootcreation.com (work)

Kat, Thank you for your response. I am going to have to get back on track. I work long hours and really need to find some foods that are quick and easy but I am very picky. I don't like cottage cheese and since surgery, just the thought of eggs make me want to vomit.

I still rarely eat eggs. they have to be hard boiled, and very cold with salt. I have 20g protein bars that help me out, Peanut butter and celery are great lots of nuts, but you have to chew them well. cans of tuna are a quick fix, 28 g of protein in 3 oz. I bought one of those little pocket can openers and keep a couple of cans in the car. also cutting back to 1/2 cup servings per meal works for me.

Great ideas. I try cashews every once in a while. I am hooked on Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip chewy granola bars with less sugar (5 grams per serving instead of 9 or 10) but they only have 2 grams of protein. I eat beef jerky occassionally as well but don't want to overdue it because of the sodium. I will have to start measuring my food again also. I weighed this morning and am back at 137 but have been bouncing up and down between 140 and 137. I am hoping to go down within the next few days. I have been cutting back on eating quite a bit the last few days and stepping up the exercise. Thanks, again!
