Well it's Friday.. what do you all have planned for the weekend. We plan to work in the backyard this weekend. We are gonna add a waterfall/creek to a pound thing over in our zen garden. That should take us some time. Dont really have anything else planed. I am looking to see if the Quakes are playing here this weekend and may take the kids to the game or go to a movie just to get them out for a while. It seems like when we dont really have any plans we come up with stuff anyway...lol... well everyone have a great weekend...

Tomorrow we're going to take our dog to one of those self-service dog washing places. Ugh, I dread that! We are getting things ready for our trip to Vegas next weekend. My inlaws are coming to watch the kids so I want to get the house all tidied up. My husband is obsessing over buying a big screen TV. He was in a car accident and got a little bit of money from the other gal's insurance. So we need to pay for his new (used) truck with it. But there is a tiny bit left and he wants to buy this TV. I told him I'd rather he use the money to buy new tires for the truck, an oil change, etc. We don't NEED a big screen TV! He found one on sale so he wants to go buy it this weekend. So, I'm all pissy today because I don't think we need the TV. We already have a smaller TV that works just fine. Plus, I'm trying to get him to get OFF HIS BUTT instead of sitting in front of the TV all the time. He doesn't need more incentive to sit there and watch it! I'm so torked about the whole thing. I feel like I don't really have a say in it ... but I don't want the freaking TV! Hee, hee! Deanna

this is going to be an action packed weekend for me (as most of them are). I have to sign up one kid for day camp, get the other two ready for sleep away camp, pack to go to my mom's house. I am going into Manhattan tonmrrow to go shopping, eat dim sum, go to a play and out to dinner with some woman from my support group. I have to go back to my moms pick up the kids then i have to wake up at 5am on Sunday and hustle the oldest boy down to jr. olympic preliminaries down in gosh knows where jersey/pennsylvania border (better make sure i pack a few meals it coudl be a LONG day). Reading all of these wonderful thigs that you guys are doing this weekend makes me just want to say wow look at what we can do now!!!! My husband and I landscaped our backyard last weekeend and repainted our kitchen ,dining, room and redid our bathroom while it was very hard work and i was pretty darn tired I felt so good about what i did. 1yr ago he would of done pretty much all the hard labor i just didn't have the ability to do. Geze I couldn't even mow the lawn without feeling like i was going to die. It feels so good to do these things that most pepole take as just mundane everyday tasks

We've just had an afternoon of 19 fairies running around our back yard - 7 yr old's party! So am now exhausted from that. Tomorrow is quiet til the evening when we are leading a creative music & arts evening. We are havign coffee & desserts so I am preparing those beforehand. Also got to fit in visiting a friend who has had surgery on both feet at some point this weekend. Hopefully I'll get some rest on Sunday. All good though,

Yay...congratulations to your son. On the party front, we have a tiny house, so the party had to be in the garden (yard). After much anxiety, the rain clouds went and the sun finally came out in the afternoon for perfect weather! The time flew by. We decorated fairy wings so had a glitter fest, made wands and had some traditional party games (musical mushrooms instead of chairs which they loved). I made a fantastic tower cake, even though I do say so myself, but 2 hours after I'd made it, and taken some photos (I had a premonition ha ha), we had the two major towers collapse, so we went to plan B - dh rushed to the local grocery store to buy one and have a picture of a fairy put on it!! Millie was delighted with both so she was happy. All in all a fun party. Each year I vow never to do it myself again, but always do. As soon as it was over, I'm there asking, ok, so what are we going to do for next year? Thanks for asking
