good morning monday
I had a busy weekend with the kids.. the horse show went great.. Jessie got 5 place and bob got first out of first.. lol.. he still loved it.. spent the day watching horse and hanging out with grandma... I hate when we leave her she always looks so sad even though we have spent time with her each of the last 3 weeks and even let jessie stay a week with her.. think she would be tired of us by now.. guess not
Sunday we went to the swap meet. we love just walking around.. I almost died when I saw a mickey mouse in an airplane.. it was a big one.. a christmas decoration.. I tried to act like it was not big deal but my kids knew I was dying.. I asked casually how much and he only wanted 5 dollars for it.. i took the money out and non challently handed it to him.. than the kids had to contain me all the way to the car as I held and loved the thing to death.. what a find for me.. I know I am easily pleased. My house is totally Mickey mouse at christmas.. its the one time of year I get to have him around since there isnt room for my entire collection out with all these kids.. hehehehe.
Another thing I find myself doing is cooking on sundays.. I do a lot of prep for the week ahead so when I get home i can just throw things in and cook them. I seem to enjoy cooking more even though I cant eat much of what I cook. I think this addiction is taking the place of my gaming addition. Well the family likes this one better as I made a carrot cake yesterday for them.
Well that was my week. I came to work today and found that I cant get my pc to work so I am on my lap top now. guess it will go in the shop for a month for repairs.. they are pretty slow at fixing them around here.
hope you all had a great weekend and have a tremedous week ahead fulll of great things.
Good Monday Morning To YOU! This weekend was awesome, we went to a corvette car show at the airforce base near our house and got to wander through a C-5 that's a huge plane! The car show was for hte hubby and the kids and they were excited. We went to a flea market after that, it was rather bogus but i love those things as well.
Sunday i went food shopping early and prepped dinner so I could go to the track and field stuff with the kids. One hour each way (oh the joy) and i packed lunches and the rain helf off until about a 1/2 hour before we went home. My oldest boy took 3rd place medal in discus, next week he'll compete at the state championships, he's very excited. My princess bombed out in the 100 meter she SKIPPED through the whole race, i thought the coach was going to have a stroke. Her other coach put her in the 800 meter (1/2 mile) and she placed 4th out of 42, not bad for the kid that skipped through the 100 meter!
I got home in the rain, made dinner then crashed on the couch. I worked out hard on Saturday then went walking and boy was i tired. ANDI
Oh Andi, that is so funny (and cute) that your daughter skipped through her race! How old is she? Wouldn't that be simply delightful to leave all your cares behind and say "To heck with it, I'm skipping!" Maybe I should try that on my next 5K ... I bet I'd get a lot of onlookers that way! Hee, hee!
Sounds like you had a fun and exhausting weekend!
Deanna
Hi Andi
glad you had a great weekend.
I LOVE the skipping Thats what my princess would probably do too!!! Mindyou, as Deanna said, wouldn't it be wonderful to just skip through life - carefree and joyfull. I sometimes now skip along with Millie down the street, and we have great fun - it's really freeing, even more so when you get looks from people. Most give you a look to say I wish I could enjoy myself like that, and I think to myself, yeh this is GREAT, having fun with my daughter when I couldn't even walk very far with her before
A big well done to all of your brood.
